What do you see on the page? Describe the cat? Did you see it
before? What’s its name? what’s the cat standing on? Let’s think
what could be inside this book? Giving them wait time and taking
learners responses there will be a brief discussion on the front page.
After And teacher will open the book and read the whole story with
great expression and intonation. The teacher will ask the children
about the first page. She will show them that there is a number on
the right corner of the book and that indicates the page number of
the book. The children will be able to continue reading the story
with the teacher by holding the books on their lap (or table) and pay
attention to each detail and picture of the book.

Wrap up
Learners will talk about characters of the book.
