Quick Start Guide (remote access to software)

1) Open an internet browser (for ex Mozilla or Google Chrome) and follow the link: https://vdi7-security.nu.edu.kz/
2) Click on “VMware Horizon HTML Access”
3) Login under your domain account (NU login and password which you type into a PC (NOT AN EMAIL ACCOUNT!))
4) You will see the 3 options to access software (you can find instructions and description for each of them below):

“3323” icon

“3323” –choose this icon if you need software installed in the 3323 computer lab (60 PCs).
Choose it if you need these programs:
1) Matlab 2018b
2) Aspen v11
3) Solidworks 2019
4) Ansys Student version 2019 R2

7) ADS

After completing your work, close all tabs and software.

IMPORTANT!-do not save any data on the desktop, all data will be lost after closing the session. Send your files via
your email if it is needed!
Start button -> Sign Out. Please be infrom, that is very important to Sign Out after completing your work!

You will have access to the desktop with software. On each desktop you will find folders with software, and inside them there
are links of the software,moreover can find a short instruction on how to run the software in some folders.
 After completing your work, close all tabs and software.

your email if it is needed!

“Nvivo”- choose this icon if you need software installed in the C32020 computer lab (19 PCs)

 USEFUL TIPS

If you do not do any actions in your desktop, after some time your session will be blocked. To unlock the session
please follow the screenshots below:

Press the gray button on the left side of your screen

Press the button to send Ctlr+Alt+Delete action
Enter your password again
