What is FordBrain ?

It is a flash writing process of the vehicles belonging to the Ford Motor Company, a process to do;

• Calibration Procedures such as:

A flash writing process which renders unites like Vehicle’s brain on the vehicle(PCM), body
control module(BCM), brake system(ABS) and automatic transmission(TCM) from their raw state to
an original state, it is also a writing system to upgrade or update an already existing calibration file
With devices like KTAG and MAGPRO problems may be encountered in read and written
unites. We solve these problems through OBD and correct the problematic unit. Calibration
operations include upgrading the current calibration on the unit to the latest version. Addition to
that there is also a Calibration Repetition and Calibration Replacement oppose to the systems such
as IDS and FDRS which will not allow you to do such procedures.
Calibration Repetition allows you to rewrite the current calibration on the vehicle. After
performing this operation, the unit that is causing the problem (if there is no electronic problem on
the Eprom part or the unit) will be corrected.
Calibration Replacement is the part you should use if the unit on the vehicle is newly
installed, empty, or taken from another vehicle. After you do this, the Flash part of your tool will be
written according to the information you have given according to the current tool. And in the same
way, if there is no Eprom or Electronic component malfunction on the unit, your unit will still
become compatible with the vehicle.

This service is not provided by any application other than FordBrain.

• Secret Feature On and Off

You can add or remove features such as cruise control, fog lights, folding mirrors in your car's
other packages. Of course, while doing this process, the vehicle must also electronically approve it.
This means that when you do not have fog lights installed in your vehicle, doing this will not help and
will cause your vehicle to set a DTC because it cannot communicate with that unit. You can easily do
this in AsBuild. You can find better explanations and pictures about it in the use of the program.

• Read and Write Configuration Data

This data, which most units have, is where the configuration settings of the unit are kept.
You can read this data once your vehicle is running and has no problem, and you will be able to use
this data in the same vehicle after months or in another case you will be able to use this data in an
identical one. Doing this will cause you to solve some problems the easy way. Of course, you cannot
correct an existing problem on the electronic or CAN line, but you can overcome the incongruity
problems between the units themselves.

This service is not provided by any application other than FordBrain.

• AsBuild Data Update, Edit, Modify

AsBuild Data is a place that regulates the operation of all units on the vehicle. You can edit
the changes you make in your vehicle from this data. IDS restricts you in this editing site. Although
the number of available AsBuild settings is 250 or more, the number of editable fields that IDS gives
you does not exceed 150.

• Original AsBuild Writing by VIN Number

You had to replace the BCMii of your vehicle or you made the wrong choice during AsBuild
leveling. No need to be afraid, because you can rewrite the original AsBuild data to the unit
according to the VIN number of your vehicle. Your vehicle will have the comfort features at the
moment it leaves the factory.

• Reading and Clearing the DTC

If a fault occurs during the communication between the units or if one of the sensors in your
vehicle catches a fault, a DTC will be set. You can easily see what these DTCs are with Ford Brain. On
top of it, with your native language. You must clear the DTCs and start your vehicle again to see if
you have resolved the DTC related problems you are reading. When you make an error inquiry again,
you can easily observe whether the errors on the vehicle are corrected from this area.

• DPF Regeneration

You can filter the exhaust particulate filter on the vehicle via FordBrain. During this process,
your vehicle must be running.

• Reset AdBlue Parameter and All Parameters

AdBlue and DPF is an indispensable process for canceling. You cannot cancel AdBlue and DPF
without resetting the AdBlue system and all parameters in your vehicle. After you have done this on
FordBrain, you can cancel.

• Multiplication Information Deletion

You can easily delete the crash information from the airbag (RCM) and body control module
(BCM) units of the vehicle that came to your workshop.

• Sliding Door Cancellation

Thanks to this system, which is wanted to be used in Euro 5 and Euro 6 model Transits, you
can cancel the doors of the vehicle with ORIGINAL operation directly on the unit without any
operation at the door of the vehicle. After this process, your door may open and close while your
vehicle is walking. If you have a sliding step, it will continue to operate smoothly.

 • DPF and AdBlue Cancellation

We continue to work on DPF and AdBlue Cancellation, which is one of the most difficult
procedures for all services. We will add this system to FordBrain program as soon as possible without
any additional charge.

• VIN Replacement

Some of the incompatibility issues of vehicles are based on incompatible VIN numbers.
Incompatible VIN numbers of BCMii and PCM units in your vehicle may cause DTCs. In order to
eliminate this, we have activated the VIN switching system for you.

Why was FordBrain made?

FordBrain is an application that primarily considers its users. The main reasons for this program
which primarily considers its user should be cited as;

✓ To achieve high efficiency with low cost. The price tariffs of the original or equivalent Ford
programs on the market cause the users to be in a difficult situation. With FordBrain, we are glad to
announce that this problem has been solved.

certainly support our users within the working hours. And we cannot do this support through a
system that we do not know. That is why we guarantee our motto and knowledge to our users.
✓ We take special care of the vehicle that cannot be processed. We support you with the condition of
staying at least 1 day in your garage for a vehicle that our system cannot do or a newly released
vehicle. The reason for this is, of course, to improve our knowledge and give our users more stable
and trouble-free updates.
✓ Eliminate Interface costs. We believe that this is one of the common problems of almost every
device on the market. As if the program they sell you is not enough, they are after to get money out
of your pocket with the sale of a device. We have integrated the PassThru system into our Programs
to eliminate this problem. In this way, you can make your transactions with any interface that
supports PassThru.
✓ Do not stick to the manufacturer's limits. Manufacturers do not code units with different VIN
numbers in order to avoid risk and sell their own units. This is where we come into play, and we
break down these taboos and let our users code their second-hand units.

Required for Use of the Application

• Minimum System Requirements - Windows 7 SP1 + 2GB RAM (Recommended 4GB)

• . Net Fremework 4.0 and Later Installed Computer.
• (A New Formatted Computer, if possible.)
• 1 Passthru Interface (List of Some Supported Interfaces will be appended to the end of the
document.)
• Driver of the Interface to be used.

Installing the Application

The first installation of the application is done by our technical team. You have only one installation
during the year unless there is a valid reason. Before the installation process, the file named ‘Anadol
Support.exe’ (Picture-1) will be sent to you via Skype (Our Skype address is available on the login page). After
you run Anadol Support.exe, you should give to our team the 10 and sometimes 9 digit numbers as shown in
Picture-2. Our team will complete the installation process on your computer as soon as possible.

(BE ATTENTION PLEASE! make sure that the Interface with PASSTHRU Protocol is connected during
installation.)

Using the Application

Please review the following steps before using the application. BE SURE;

1. Interface is connected,
2. There is no damage to the cables to the interface,
3. The Interface is connected to the OBD input of the Vehicle,
4. The vehicle is supplied with extra voltage by Buster,
5. The vehicle ignition is on,
6. Your computer has an Internet connection and has sufficient speed,
7. The Date settings of your computer are not corrupted,

Run the shortcut file ‘Ford Brain.exe’ (Picture-3) on your desktop. The interface (in Picture-4) will be
displayed. This interface checks the files of the Ford Brain program, allows files to be rewritten for lost or
corrupted files in case of loss of files or file corruption. And then, just click the button ‘Sync and Start’ to
continue running the program. (Picture-5)

 After the check is completed, the program will start automatically and you will see the input screen.

‘User Name’ section on the login screen , you must enter the e-mail address that you used to register.
‘Password’ is the password that are told by our technical team at the time of registration. You can check the
box ‘Remember Me’ if you want to keep the information on the screen each time the program is opened.
This box is checked for as long as ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’ sections will be filled in automatically when
you run the program.

After clicking ‘Login’ button, the system will check your license and confirm your login process. This
may result in negative if your internet connection is bad or your system clock is incorrect. When this
happens, first check your system clock and then try logging in again with another internet provider if you
have. If the problem persists, please ask our support team for help with your registered username. After the
login process finishes, Ford Brain will automatically attempt to connect to your Interface. (Picture -7)

After the interface connection is completed will change according to the

Interface name you selected. For example; and you will see an interface as shown in
Picture-8. (This interface may vary with updates.)

1. Connect Ecu

Used to establish a connection with the vehicle. When you press this button, you will see a
screen for selecting vehicles. (Picture-9) You can enter your own vehicle correctly and perform the
operations you want without any problem from this screen. If you enter the incorrect vehicle, only
and only the duration of your transactions will be extended. This choice is never the reason you do
wrong to vehicle.

After completing the vehicle selection and pressing the ‘Ok’ button, the program starts
scanning all units (Picture-10) and finds the units belonging to the vehicle. The duration of this
process; it can take from 3 to 5 minutes depending on the CAN lines of the vehicle and the speed of
the units and your internet speed. After the unit scan is finished, the current calibration numbers of
the units are searched. The current calibration search may increase in proportion to the number of
units found. After unit scan and current calibration checks are finished, the home screen returns.

Units with the main display connection;

1. Unit: Abbreviation of the unit name.

2. Unit Name: The full name of the unit.
3. VIN Number: The VIN Number of the unit.
4. DTC: Number of DTCs on the unit.
5. V: Voltage measured by the unit itself.

You can also get short information about the units. When you click on one of the units on the screen,
additional information about the unit is provided (Picture-11). And the buttons on the right side are
activated according to the selected unit. You can continue by pressing one of the active buttons.

2. DTC

DTC’s : consisting of the initials Diagnostic Trouble Codes and coded fault number developed by the
vehicle manufacturer to diagnose vehicle related problems.

By pressing this button you can list the DTCs that have occurred on that unit (Picture-12).

 You can clear the DTCs which listed by clicking button ‘Clear All DTC’s’. When the deletion is
complete, it will ask you to switch the ignition off and on again.
Not: Deletion is valid only to the DTCs of that unit.

3. Clear All DTC’s

You can use it to clear the DTCs of all units on the vehicle that have been successfully connected
by the program. After clicking this button, a small window will come to the screen (Picture-13) and
when the process is completed, it will ask you to switch the ignition off and on again (Picture-14)

4. Live Data

When you click the button the pop-up window (Picture-15) automatically shows the live data
supported by the unit. You can instantly learn the current voltage or global time of the unit through
this data.

5. Service Functions

When you click the button, a new window will open. (Picture-16) This window allows you to
get momentarily current service from our database and use it. Getting service functions from the
database may vary depending on your internet speed. After the service functions are installed;

Select the unit which you want to process from the small box at the top left of the window
(Picture-17), these are the units that support the service of the vehicle you have selected. After
selecting the unit, select one of the service operations of the unit loaded in the box on the
right.(Picture-18). After completing the selection, the ‘Start’ button on the right below will be active.
You can start the process by pressing the ‘Start’ button.

You can follow the result of the service process in the area below the right. Your transaction result
will be reflected there. (Example: ) Images from some service operations;

A. Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration

You can use this service to clean the exhaust particle filter on the vehicle. (Picture-19) During
this process you should pay attention to;

I. During this operation, the engine speed can be increased for a long time.
II. This is done with the vehicle stationary.
III. This procedure may take up to 50 minutes to complete.
IV. Exhaust gas in the tail pipe can reach up to 500 ° C.
V. Make sure that the exhaust intake system can operate at high temperature and gas.
VI. If possible, use a portable fan for additional engine cooling.

B. All Parameters and Ablue Parameter Reset

This resets all parameters on the vehicle, including adblue, and it would have made the preparatory process
for making the adblue cancellation. (Picture-20)

 6. Special Functions

When you press the button, a small window will open next to the button (Picture-21). The size of
this window; will expand, will grow when special functions of program arrive.

7. As-Build Data

This button is activated only when one of the IPC and BCM units is selected. When you press
the button, ask the questions about whether to write the units together if the program recognizes
the IPC and BCM units.

A. Read AsBuild Data

It reads the AsBuild Data printed on the BCM or IPC.

B. Show Edit AsBuild Data

It shows readed, downloaded, uploaded from XML of AsBuid Data on screen (Picture-23)

You can save and change the features that you want to change on this window.

Not: Process of registering in here won't be written on the unite. For it to be written on
there you need to press the 'Write As Build Data' button!!

C. Open XML AsBuild Data

You can upload the AsBuild data file in XML format which is available on your
computer or supplied from somewhere. After doing this, the ‘Show Edit AsBuild Data’ button
in B option will be active again. You can make the edits you want to make and write to the
Unit.

 D. Download AsBuild Data

You can download the AsBuild data of the vehicle's VIN Number or the VIN Number
you entered manually from IDS and upload it to the program. After doing this, the ‘Show Edit
AsBuild Data’ button in the B option will be active again. You can make the edits you want to
make and write to the Unit.

E. Write AsBuild Data

It rewrites the AsBuild data to unit of vehicle which in the program memory, you can
download it from the vehicle, download it with VIN number or load it from XML file. This
process takes a short time. After the writing process is completed, you can see that it was
written successfully on the screen. (Picture-24)

8. Calibration

Calibration is related to the software on the unit. In here you can change, update or rewrite
the software of the unit. This process can be up to 15-20 minutes depending on the speed of the
unit. During operations; removing the OBD, turning off the ignition or removing the terminals,
turning off the computer, etc., may cause the unit to become unrecoverable. Therefore, please be
very careful during this process. FordBrain is not responsible for any such mistakes!

Located on that screen;

A. Upgrade Calibration

This button is active only when the current calibration is available. When the
button is pressed, the calibration test is performed from our server according to the
calibration number on the unit and the current calibration is downloaded. The
downloaded calibration automatically starts writing.

B. Reload Calibration

This button attempts to rewrite the calibration on the vehicle. It is often

impossible to download the current calibration on the server. Therefore, the upper
version of the same calibration number is offered to the operator, calibration is
downloaded along with the acceptance of the operator. The downloaded calibration
automatically starts writing.

C. Manual Calibration

This button asks for your VIN number, the calibration number to be written
to the unit is determined according to the entered VIN number. If the calibration
number cannot be found during the determination, you are asked to write the
calibration number from the operator. As a result of these operations, the
calibration test is performed on our server to the determined calibration number

 and the current version is found. The found calibration is downloaded. The
downloaded calibration automatically starts writing.

 After the calibration is finished, If you scan again the vehicle unit, you can also check and see
the new calibration number on the system.

9. Configuration Data

These are the configuration data on the units. You can read, edit and restore this data to the
factory settings. The data you read is saved in our database. You can access this recorded data at any
time, anywhere with a VIN number and overwrite it with another vehicle. Likewise, you can easily fix
simple problems when the vehicle comes again by backing up configuration data before going back
from your service. Pressing the button opens the window in Picture-32.

A. Read Data

After pressing the ‘Read Data’ button, the program will ask you again to confirm the vehicle's
VIN number. After confirming the VIN number, it provides you with a list of units scanned by the
program (Picture-33). After selecting the units you want to read, the configuration data of the
selected units are read one by one and saved to our server. (Picture-34) You can rewrite these
data with ‘Write Data’ button on B option.

B. Write Data

After pressing the ‘Write Data’ button, the program will ask you again to confirm the
vehicle's VIN number. After confirming the VIN number, It shows you the Factory data from the
server (Picture-35) and data you have previously saved to the server (Picture-36). After selecting
the units you want to write, the configuration data of the selected units are written to the units
one by one.

10. Exit

When you press the button, Ford Brain will close.
