SCI 100 Worksheet: metric conversions Spring 2022 Name __________________

DUE January 27-28

Perform the conversions below. You MUST show all your work to receive full credit for the
problem; use conversion factors and units for all numbers. Do not solve by moving the decimal,
even if you know how. (The practice will help for more complex problems in future classes.).
This is an individual assignment. You may ask any SCI 100 instructor or peer instructor for
help, but not each other. Contact the Center for Student Success for a Math Tutor.
There are 10 questions; be sure to do the ones on the back! Each is worth 2.5 points.
There are YouTube videos posted on Blackboard in the folder for this week’s lab, focused on
explaining how to do unit conversions.
