Photoshop record second image

The second image I imported and

placed my chosen image into
Photoshop to begin changing a few
things on it.

After importing my image to

Photoshop I began changing it
by selecting the magnetic magic
tool so that I can use to select
my model with taking in the
background of the image.

In order to separate the image

of my model from the
background you take the lasso
tool and move around the
surface of your image making
sure to outline everything I
need to use. After going round
the image you click the
remainder onto the first lasso
and a lined outline will go
round the image. This means
that my image has been
selected and from then I am
able to
move on
to the
next
stage
After selecting the image above there will appear a button that says refine edge. I
click the button and this tab appears, from this tab I am able to change the texture of
the section I selected. I increased the shift edge to make the bit smoother and when
over bits I missed when using the lasso tool.

To make sure I could remove the image after changing it I also switched the views it
was based onto layers. That meant the refined image was placed on top of the original
and therefore I could move it easier.
Before pressing ok I also changed the output to layer mask

I moved my image after accepting

the refinement to a new plain page
to see if everything had come out
ok. Unfortunately, the hair at the
back of my model didn’t quite
come out as clean but I am going
to improve that later on. The idea
is so that my models facial and
body expression can clearly imply
that she is happy.

The next part after completing the

changes to my model image, I
searched through the internet
found this image of an autumn
leaf tree. It was nice and clear.

After importing the image, I

found I used the blur tool to make
parts of it blurry so that the
attention is focused more on the
clear parts. This is because the
audience are more likely to pay
attention to something that is
clear rather than something that is
blurry.
After finishing with blurring the background I took the image of model and placed it
together with the background.

As soon as I put the two together I selected the

layer with the image and clicked the blending
options. From there I used the drop shadow
blending option and the inner shadow, changed the
colour to a dark brown/ black and made it look like
she was being shadowed by the tree. I also changed
her hair colour using the brush tool and changing
the opacity to make it look like she has red
highlights
This is the final product after I had finished the changes

I think the thing I did well the most was the background the blurry sections made the
model image really focused on and I think it really brought this idea of the tree being
this kind of cave and the bits that weren’t blurred are the hole to see more of.
