Factors Affecting One’s Growth and Development

These are the different factors affecting one’s growth and


development like rest, sleep, recreation and exercise.

Rest – is good for the body. It is good for


the brain. If we get tired, we have to rest, sit
down or lie down, in order not to get sick.

Sleep – growing children need about 10 hours


of sleep every night.

Recreation – helps us relax our mind and


bodies.
Example: singing, reading, listening

Exercise – helps in stretching and making our


bones and muscles strong.
