I. Introduction
Planning refers to an organization which is connected with production,
distribution and assumption from Dickinson’s view. It is a way of organizing and
resources to the maximum advantage in terms of defined aims. It has been
clearly and repeatedly mentioned by the reporters of how important planning
is, setting out in advance, strategies, policies, procedures, programs and
standards through which an educational objective can be achieved.

II. Discussion
As they say, Educational Planning is a preparation phase in the decision-
making process. There are 8 characteristics of educational planning being made
mention in the session, these are the; Logical, Systematic, Scientific Process,
Progressive, Mission-oriented, Future-Oriented, Curriculum-Oriented, and
Remedial.
To be more organized when it comes to planning, the reporters shared 3
important steps in educational planning, first is the Policy Making, it consists of the
principles and government policies in the educational sphere as well as the
collection of laws and rules that govern the operation of education systems,
utilizing both policies and procedures during decision-making ensures that
employers are consistent in their decisions. Second is the Plan Formulation, is
likely to formulate something such as a plan or proposal, you invent it, thinking
about the details carefully. And the third one, Plan Implementation is an
implementation plan is a project management tool that facilitates the execution of
a strategic plan for a company or a project by breaking down the implementation
process into smaller steps, while defining the timeline, the teams and the resources
that will be needed.
There are types of Educational Planning that has been discussed, the Micro
Planning which is a continuous process and it unfolds itself in the process of
implementing and operationalising plans prepared either at the local level or at the
higher levels. Micro planning focusses more on the operational details of achieving
a specified plan target. Micro planning exercise can be undertaken by local people.
The next type of EP is Macro Planning and it identifies the results the institution is
committed to delivering for the benefit of internal clients (Le., learners., teachers,
administration, and starn and/or the institution itself, next types are the Long-Term
Planning and Short Term Planning, what’s the difference of the two? Long-term
planning, on the other hand, is more concrete. As an example, you have a long-
term plan to double your sales within the next five years. This plan doesn’t change,
however, the short-term plans you make to bring life to the long-term goal can
change and likely will.

Conclusion
We plan not to avoid failure and other problems that may occur along the
way, but we plan ahead to become ready of what will happen in the future. We
cannot deny the fact that there will always be a problem that will occur and as the
administrators we have to be very flexible enough to address the challenges.
Regardless of what challenges we are going to face; we have to be ready all the
time to address it.
