Materials Needed: grid, coding cards, lunch menu cards, number cube, stop and go cards,
counter/loose part for each player
How To Play
1. Players agree where the “go” and the “stop” cards are placed on or off the grid.
2. Put the “Lunch Menu Cards” in a pile with the menus face down. Turn the top card over.
These are the lunch items each player has to collect. Each player begins to plan their code
to collect the items. Remember: Each player must get all of the items on their menu before
they can head to the “stop.”
3. Player 1 rolls the number cube. This is the number of arrows they place down on the grid.
4. Player 2 then rolls the number cube. This is the number of arrows they place down on the
grid. The game continues until the first player reaches the “stop” sign.
Note: Items do not need to be collected in the order they are on the Lunch Menu (but could
be done that way for an extra challenge or if working on sequential events). Players should
put an arrow on the lunch item that they pick up. They also could use the corner cards
where appropriate on the grid.

Cut these out to help with storage and the playing of the game.
Use the grids on the next page to store in your kit. Students can use
whiteboard markers to write on them.
