This addition game will
have your students energized
and ready to practice their
Addition facts. I am a P.E.
teacher and we use this in grades K, 1, 2 & 3 as a
warm up activity to practice our mental math,
cooperate in small groups and of course to get up
and get moving to increase our fitness skills.

If you are a classroom teacher this is a great cross


curricular activity that will give your students a fast
paced brain break while reviewing addition from 1-
36.

If you have no dice, no problem. I have included a


sheet of dice you can copy and have the kids use in
place of dice. My students love the large foam dice
but any dice will do.

This game can be easily adapted to meet the needs


of all students. You can assign some groups to add,
some to multiply and choose how many dice you
wish them to receive.

Game Directions
1. Students can work in small
groups, pairs or by themselves.
2. Each group will need 1-6 dice.
3. Each group will need the exercise charts 1-36. I
copy mine front to back and laminate for
repeated use.
4. Students roll the dice and add the numbers.
5. Use the answer (sum) to determine which
exercise your group must complete.

Modifications
• Do addition with 1-6 dice
• Use One dice and assign a specific number to add
with. For example, always add dice with 5.
• Make it a competition and add a tally chart or
graph to keep score of exercises completed.
• Motivate your class to see who can get the most
addition problems done.
• If you have groups ready to multiply then use two
dice and off they go!

Copy, laminate, cut into flashcards, put in a
