I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
a. understand the concept of addition;

b. add numbers with one and two digits;

c. participate during class activities in adding numbers.

2. Prayer

“ Before we start our lesson for


today, let us pray.

3. Classroom management

Before you take your seats, look


around you and pick those paper, or (picking the scattered papers)
any trash under your chair.

Thank you children, now you may take


your seats.
4. Checking of attendance
Now, we are going to check your attendance.
Instead of saying present, you are going to
say your age. Is that okay class? Yes teacher Jay!

all about addition.
Alright kids, let us first understand
what is addition.

Addition is putting numbers together.


Now, these are
the different symbols used in addition.

This is plus ( + ) and this is equals ( = )


And the answer will be called the sum.

I have here 1 pencil and Joaquin has


1 pencil, how many pencils do we have? 2 pencils!

If 1 hat was added with 2 hats, how many hats 3 hats!

D. Application
