A Detailed Lesson Plan in Math 2

At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
a. Identify and visualize the division the number up to 100 by 2,3,4,5, and 10

IV. LESSON PROPER


A. Activity

So before we start our lesson lets have our


activity first, lets have a groupings, this group
will be the mind craft and the other group is
the frozen group.

This game is called “THE EQUAL BASKET”.


I have here a 4 basket each group will have a
2 basket, and also i have here a 40 tomatoes
and each group can have a 20 tomatoes. I will
give a division problem and you will be the
one to answer it but you need to use these
material on how you going to to the equal
sharing.

So today’s topic we will talk about the
Visualize division of numbers up to 100 by
2,3,4,5, and 100 (multiplication table of 2,3,4,5
and 10).

Now division is the opposite of multiplication.

Let’s read a problem solving:


Twenty grade 2 pupils visited an orphanage.
They grouped themselves into 4 with each
grouped 5 pupils. How will you write a
multiplication for this?

There are 4 groups of pupils.


There are 5 pupils in each group.
There are 20 pupils in all
Therefore, 4x5= 20

If we use it in division:
There are 20 pupils in all.
There are 4 group of pupils.
There are 5 pupils in each group.
Therefore, 20÷4=5 or 20÷5=4.

To check division, we can use multiplication


because division is the opposite of
multiplication.

Let’s try another example: (Students refers to the visual aids)


If 6x7=42, what is 42÷6? or what is 42÷7? “And they start counting”

What is Division by 4’s
What is Division by 5’s
And what is Division by 10’s

D. Application

Now let’s test your division.

This time lets have an another activity.

Same group as well, these time I have here a


problem solving, Every group you need to
collaborate to your team, you need to write
your answer in the board. The group who got
the right answer will get a 1 point, there are 15
items the group who got a high score will be
the winner.

And they start to answer the problem.
