WATER POLLUTION
THERE ARE ABOUT 2OUT OF 10 PERSONS
ON MEXICO WITHOUT SAFE DRINKING
WATER.

There are serious problems that make our water table

vulnerable to contamination such as: saline intrusion,
open air fecalism and lack of sewage systems.

AIR POLLUTION
YUCATÁN IS SECOND MOST CONTAMINATED STATE
OF MEXICO WITH 27.7PPM

Of the peninsula, Quintana Roo and Yucatan are in the

first two places nationally with the highest risk to health
and the environment due to air pollution, as they have
the highest concentration of PM2.5 particulate matter.

SOIL POLLUTION
Increased vehicular traffic causing deterioration in Merida
and agricultural areas. In Mérida, concentrations of
titanium, lead and zinc were found in its soils.
On the other hand, due to the increase of the population,
the garbage found in the streets of Mérida has been

PROPOSALS TO IMPROVE THE
ENVIROMENT
YUCATAN HAS SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE CARE OF
THE ENVIRONMENT, AS STUDENTS AND DWELLERS OF
THIS CITY WE ARE PROPOSING TO MAKE THE NEXT
PROPOSALS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

1. Improve the public transport whit less polluting buses.

2. Reduce the whait time to go werever on a bus
3. Promoves the use of a bike and the public transport
4. Create cicle paths to make more safe the bike rides
5. Create an expert panel to monitor the air quality and take actions to improve the air.
6. Create more jobs reliting to recycling
7. Create more taxes to the persons that intenciaonaly contaminate and take less
susntentable desicions.
