Banks & Their Mobile Banking Applications

Mobile Banking – It refers to the use of a smartphone or other cellular device to
perform online banking tasks like obtaining account balance information and lists of latest
transactions, electronic bill payments, remote check deposits, P2P payments, and funds
transfers between a customer's or another's accounts, monitoring account balances,
transferring funds between accounts and locating an ATM.
UPI - Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a system that powers multiple bank accounts into
a single mobile application (of any participating bank), merging several banking features,
seamless fund routing & merchant payments into one hood. It also caters to the “Peer to
Peer” collect request which can be scheduled and paid as per requirement and convenience.
Most Bank provides their own UPI App for different Operating Systems viz. Android, Windows
and iOS mobile platform(s).

Oliveboard Success Story:

The motivational success story of a B.Com graduate who never settled for the
ordinary and went onto to clear major exams like SBI PO 2016, NABARD
GRADE A 2018 and RBI GRADE B 2018 (AIR-24).

Here is his inspiring story:

Hi dear friends, this is Ashutosh Jha and I am going to share my success story of SBI PO.
My journey started in 2016 when I first appeared in IBPS PO Prelims. My overall exam
experience is as follows:-

• IBPS PO 2016: Out in mains got only 42 marks

• Bank Of Baroda PGDBF - OuT in mains by 0.50 marks
• IBPS RRB PO 2017: Out in final list after interview
• SBI PO 2017: Out in mains, got only 38 marks in mains
• Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Investigation Officer: Out in final list after
interview

Then I realized what was actually going wrong with me especially in the interview. It was just
about being confident because no one knows every answer, but you should always be
authentic and confident enough to show your personality trait of being an Officer.

Finally, I got selected as IBPS CLERK in Bank of India, but that was still not a favourable
outcome particularly for me, I thought I deserved more. So I appeared in SBI PO 2019,
luckily I was able to do better in mains and interview , and finally I got into SBI PO.

My PI questions were as follows :

• They asked me questions related to my technical background.
• They asked me about notes security features as I use to handle cash counter
sometimes. But I was not able to answer the same.
• Then they asked about the RBI function and Governor.
• Last question was related to what you think will banking sector look like after 20
years

As far as my preparation strategy is concerned, I studied Quants from Arun Sharma to clear
my basics. For Reasoning, I referred to many YouTube videos to learn tricks to solve
questions quickly and then gave a good number of online mock tests. I prepared my English
through mock tests from Oliveboard as they were based on the latest pattern and
syllabus. For GA, the Olive board Bolt series proved to be best for me.

One thing I want to share here is that there is no destiny in life where we can say that we
have succeeded, but life is a journey full of ups and downs. Don't go by your comfort zone.
What most people do is they do work hard but only in their strong and favourable areas, not
in the areas where they are weak in English and GS in most of the cases. So my suggestion
is to work in weak areas first, starting this is going to be boring and very tough to focus on,
but slowly slowly you would realise that without doing this you would not get selected ever
like what I did especially in GA.

Role of Oliveboard: I always prefer Oliveboard for preparation. I bought a complete banking
package form Oliveboard, that gave me a great platform to analyse my mistakes. I really
improved a lot because of real exam pattern questions that are there in the Oliveboard mock
tests, especially for mains. So thank you Oliveboard for this.
