On what basis Permit to Work issued? How many types of Permit to work? Explain with

Hot work permit = issued to personnel perform a task which involve local source of
ignition and can ignite flammable products on offshore platform, for example
abrasive blasting, spray painting and mechanical power tool cleaning.
Cold permit = issued to personnel performing task where there is no local source of
ignition for example working at heights, hand abrasion, radiography.
When scaffolding is erected and safe for use it shall be green scaftag and if
scaffolding incomplete red scaftag signed by competent person who had got
advanced scaffolding certificate.
Scaftag shall be kept in plastic wallet and tied to the scaffolding.
Work to permit system depend upon nature of job hot or cold permit.
