3. Preparation

3.1 Must use Duracell 9V battery


3.2 Must disconnect MAC battery and charger before adaptor cable or clip
attached to logic board.

4.1 Prepare SOIC-8 Clip and attached to main tool


4.2 Install the Clip

4.3 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
4.4 Power off and remove the tool

15.2 Remove CPU Heatsink
15.3 Install the Adapter and Setup Single Wire
15.4 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

16.2 Install the Adapter and Setup Single Wire, Sometime Logic board has
to be take out to make better connection.

16.3 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

17.2 Install the Adapter and Setup Single Wire, Sometime SSD has to be
removed to make better connection.
17.3 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

18.1 Prepare SOIC-8 Clip Cable and attached to main tool
18.2 Install the Clip. On 2012 model, the chip is a bit cover by batter frame.

18.3 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

19.1 Prepare Micro Connector Cable and attached to main tool
19.2 Install the Adapter and Setup Single Wire. Connector located on
bottom right side of the logic board, closed to battery

19.3 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

20.1 Prepare SOIC-8 Clip Cable and attached to main tool
20.2 Install the Clip. Chip is under the flat black cable on the middle of the
logic board

24.2 Solder Micro Connector on the Logic board, usually located next to
EFI Chip
24.3 Install the Adapter Board and Single Wire. Don’t need remove logic
board

24.4 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool
25.2015-2017 27” iMac A1419
25.1 Prepare Micro Connector Cable and attached to main tool
25.2 Solder Micro Connector on the Logic board, usually located next to
EFI Chip
25.3 Install the Adapter Board and Single Wire. Don’t need remove logic
board

25.4 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

single wire

small flat cable, insert paper between plate and board

27.3 Install the Adapter Board. Don’t need remove logic board, Don’t need
single wire

27.4 Turn on the tool, should show busy then done in 10 seconds
Power off and remove the tool

small flat cable, insert paper between plate and board

Power off and remove the tool

30.1 Show EEFI on tool
• Bad Connection
• Low Battery or use none Duracell Battery
30.2 Show EEFA, EEF1, EEF2,EEF3
• Low Battery or use none Duracell Battery
