In ancient times in the kingdom of Daha lived a Brahmana named Sidi Mantra is very famous powers.

Sanghyang Widya or Batara Guru rewarded him with property and a beautiful wife. After years of
marriage, they got a child they named Manik Angkeran.

Although Manik Angkeran is a handsome and clever young man but he has a bad character, that is
like gambling. He often lost so he was forced to risk the wealth of his parents, even owed to others.
Unable to pay the debt, Manik Angkeran asked his father for help to do something. Sidi Mantra
fasted and prayed for the help of the gods

Sidi Mantra goes to Gunung Agung by overcoming all obstacles. Arriving at the edge of the crater of
Mount Agung, he sat cross-legged. As he rang the bell he read a spell and called the name of the
Dragon Besukih. Not long after that the Dragon came out. After hearing the intention of the arrival
of Sidi Mantra, Dragon Besukih stretched and from his scales came out gold and diamonds. After
saying thank you, Sidi Mantra excused himself. All the goods he got given to Manik Angkeran in the
hope he will not gamble anymore. Of course not long afterwards, the treasure is gone for the bet.
Manik Angkeran once again ask his father for help. Of course Sidi Mantra refused to help his son.

Manik Angkeran heard from his friend that the treasure was obtained from Mount Agung. Manik
Angkeran knew to get there he had to read a spell but he never learned about prayers and spells. So,
he just brought a bell that was stolen from his father when his father slept.

After arriving at the crater of Mount Agung, Manik Angkeran sounded his gentle. Fearful of him
when he saw the Dragon Besukih

Manik Angkeran was amazed to see the gold, diamonds, and gems in front of him. Suddenly there is
an evil intention arising in his heart. Because he wanted to get more treasures, with a quick lightning
cut tail Dragon Besukih when Dragon revolves back to the nest. Manik Angkeran immediately fled
and not overtaken by the Dragon. But because of the magic of the Dragon, Manik Angkeran burned
to ashes when his trace was licked by the Dragon.

Hearing the death of his son, Sidi Mantra's sorrow is unsaid. Soon he visited Naga Besukih and
begged his son to be revived. The dragon is able to return its origin as it once was. With his magic,
Sidi Mantra can recover Dragon's tail. After Manik Angkeran is turned on, he apologizes and
promises to be a good person. Sidi Mantra knew that his son was converted but he also understood
that they could no longer live together.

In the blink of an eye he vanished. In the place where he stood arose a source of water that grew
increasingly large to become the sea. With his wand, Sidi Mantra creates a line separating him from
his son. Now the place becomes the Bali strait that separates the island of Java with the island of
Bali.
