To ensure better performance of the Teacher Education graduates and to improve the
passing rate in the Board of Licensure for Professional Teachers, the College of Teacher
Education (CTE) takes appropriate steps in ensuring highly qualified and globally competitive
Teacher Education graduates thru enhancing admission and retention policy.

As stated in the admission and retention policy, to maintain residency of students in the
CTE programs he/she must have an average grade of 2.0 and above at the end of every
semester of the academic year. Furthermore, an outright disqualification to proceed to any
Teacher Education Programs will be applied when a student;
a. Attains two (2) failures in any of the professional education subjects.
b. Attain a failure in any of the Major/specialization subjects.

In this regard, this is to inform you that your son/daughter _______________________,

a ________________ student, having a grade of _______ in _______________ subject/s
during the __________ semester academic year __________ disqualifies him/her to proceed to
any Teacher Education Programs for the succeeding semester. However, he/she may still enroll
to any courses offered under the College of Engineering and Technology.
