Apresentação oral Sailor

1 slide

Today I'm going to talk about my profession and why this has always been my dream profession. The career
I'm going through is being a sailor.

2 slide

This is my dream profession and something I would do for free for immense reasons like breathing fresh air,
being in the ocean, something that brings a lot of happiness and peace, not only for natural reasons like
seeing the starry sky, but also for having food, assistance medical and accommodation included, always
meeting new people, cultures and places.

But like everything in life there is always the good and the bad, but I guarantee that all the effort is
rewarded. First you have to study this area, in this case I studied in Norway and took an internship in Iceland
and in addition to the studies a curriculum for this career asks for some requirements such as knowing how
to handle machines, cameras, health and radiotenic which involves the services telecommunications and
satellite navigation.

It may seem very complicated, but after knowing a little of all of this you can do a little bit of everything and
help anyone in many areas.

Of course, you have to like the sea a lot, you also can't get sick of sailing and of course you have to like
adventures.

My dream was always to be a commercial sailor, but there are other departments like war and fishing. I
prefer the commercial, because we have to guarantee the safety of all citizens, do policing to avoid drug
trafficking and smuggling between ports and loads, check that the emergency boats are good, control the
route, be alert to possible obstacles and help with cleaning and tidying. So with all this, I feel useful to
society and gain experience and intelligence.

Of course, what costs me the most is being away from the family, but as the trips are quite long we ended
up spending a lot of time with our colleagues who end up becoming a big family because they spend a lot of
time without their own.

As stopping for me is dying having an unstable and literally a shaken lifestyle is ideal

And at the bottom we have a structure of normal working hours, I work forty hours a week, eight hours each
day divided into two shifts of four hours each that are alternated so that it is not always the same people
staying with the early hours.

And we still enjoy two months of vacation every six months on board which is slightly above the amount of
normal holidays.

Summing up everything I just said are the reasons why I love my job and this is what I want to do for the rest
of my life.
