HPD MEETING – January & February

January 27, 2022

Time Began: 8:12 PM

I. COMMITTEE ON SACRED LITURGY AND ALTAR SERVICES

Upcoming Events:

Committee Reminders:
- seminarians are not allowed to wear back-printed shirts and slippers
- be situated on assigned seats
- be punctual in every spiritual activity especially during morning prayers and CPA
conference
- for the man of bible/prayer: do not leave the place where you are supposed to be; the
prayer leaders must lead the prayers all the time
- for the invested seminarians: we should not hang our cassock in the sacristy
- for the first year seminarians: should wear the gala uniform and not IF gala when
serving
- for the readers: practice well before the Mass
- always check the schedule in the liturgy board
- pray slowly and solemnly
- asking everyone to have their pamisa
- read the Bible for the upcoming weekend’s Bible Quiz Bee
- current Liturgy fund: Php 172, 569.00
- all expenses of the committee will be shouldered by the committee fund and not
anymore from the seminary fund

II. COMMITTEE ON SACRED MUSIC

Committee Reminders:
- sing well during the Mass and other liturgical activities
- Sunday community practice is movable; if there are no activities in the morning, the
practice will be pushed through
- Thursday schola practice will still be followed
- for Schola members: continue to serve as choir and let this be our apostolate
for Priests’Approval:
- If Pange Lingua, Ave Verum and other Gregorian chants can be sung during the Holy
Hour

III. COMMITTEE ON PUBLICATIONS

Committee Reminders:
- the chairman reminded the community of the MALLC and its deadline on February 5
on or before 5pm

IV. COMMITTEE ON COMPUTER ASSISTANCE

Committee Reminders:
- the chairman reminded the brothers of the status of the computer laboratory
- the chairman encouraged everyone to log-in and out at the log book
- the brothers are allowed to keep the computers on sleep unless they have left a note
- slippers must be brought in the rack

V. COMMITTEE ON LIBRARY ASSISTANCE

Committee Reminders:
- log-in and out at the logbook
- charging is allowed only until 5pm and anyone who will be charging in the library
should log-in and out on the provided logbook

VI. COMMITTEE ON SECURITY

Committee Reminders:
- help the committee on securing the house by closing the windows and doors most
especially when it is windy

VII. COMMITTEE ON HOUSE MAINTENANCE

Committee Reminders:
- the committee will not be able to clean the seminary water tank due to conflict in the
schedule. Instead, the tank will be cleaned on the first Saturday of the next month
- the community is encouraged to maintain the seminary equipments. Anyone
responsible on breakage will replace what was broken

VIII. COMMITTEE ON SUPPLIES

Committee Reminders:
- The first Sunday will be for the procurement of committee materials while the second
or third Sunday will be for the procurement of personal necessities

IX. COMMITTEE ON SOCIO-CULTURAL AFFAIRS

Committee Reminders:
- the chairman thanked and congratulated everyone for participating well during the
fiesta activities

for Priests’Approval:
- if the Music Fest will be considered as the 50th since the Music Fest wasn’t pushed
through last year

X. COMMITTEE ON ACCOMMODATION

CR:
- the chairman gave the state of beddings inventory of the committee
for Priests’ Approval:
- if there will be visitng days for the month of February
for Procurement:
- 2 pieces of bath towel
- one cushion (twin Size)
- 1 set of bed cover
- UV lamp for disinfection

XI. COMMITTEE ON FOOD


UE:
CR: Concerning food options: for fr jajo just have one viand bec not all foods were
consumed.
The committee asked for the suggestion of the community regarding viands.
Majority do not want chicken curry (?)

XII. COMMITTEE ON CLEANLINESS

UE:
31 - Checking of cleaning materials

CR:
- be punctual in all cleaning schedule whether it be slight cleaning, daily or weekly
laborandum
- be faithful in slight cleaning and watering assignments
- take good care of cleaning tools, personal or seminary property
- clean personal and extension rooms
- bringing back of the cleanest and dirtiest room: a semestral-long program wherein each
rooms will be rated monthly (insert guidelines)
PA:
- if we can cut tree near the volleyball court as suggested by Fr. Jesse

XIII. COMMITTEE ON ELECTRICITY

CR:
- turn off the micophone and have the initiative to close it whenever you see it open
- coordinate with the committee whenever there are committee activities

PA:
- vacuuming of the mixer in the Chapel

P:
- charger (for outside use)
- rechargeable batteries (for outside use)

XIV. SEC REMINDERS


- in behalf of the SEC president, the Vice-president gave the SEC reminders:
a.) settle down as a community, committee and individual now that we have returned to the
seminary structure
b.) obedience is essential in the formation as I is essential in our formation as future priests
c.) evaluation forms will be distributed as soon as the other SEC officers has arrived

XV. HPD REMINDERS

Decisions on the Semestral Committee Reports during the First Semester:


- Liturgy:
a.) We can have a liturgicon only once a semester; Fr. Marco already asked Fr. Froi who
willingly wanted to give his talk
b.) Surplices must be worn even before entering the chapel except for the servers
c.) Altar Lights can be turned on every evening and morning only
d.) Clarifications to the priest-in-charge on the semestral evaluation report
e.) Readings in the LH should be read on the ambo
f.) Penitentiary during the Compline will be after the discretion of the prayer leader
g.) practices before Sunday and solemn masses should be a norm
h.) Communion in the rail wasn’t approved

- Sacred Music:
a.) Music practices will depend on the schedule
b.) Instrumentalists will not be brought with communion

- Academics:
a.) Class Reps will be the ones to setup online classes
b.) SFS spirituality will be evaluated this sem whether it can be integrate din the freshman
year
c.) Class fund will be internal arrangement
d.) Mipro stand will be provided; community was asked to propose design for the stand
- Library:
a.) Library Rules will be posted as written in the Lex Vivendi
b.) Newspaper should be placed in the library after lunch

- Computer:
a.) Diagnosis of computers to follow-up
b.) Request for procurement: two internet dangle for library
c.) researches shall be made in the library and not outside of the office; laptops will not
anymore be used for research purposes
d.) there shall be a place for personal laptops in the library; chairman to ask maám Glo
regarding this concern; internet connection not allowed for personal laptops

- Publications:
a.) Literary pieces from priests and lay professors shall not be mandatory
b.) Publication of collated Actus Academicus scripts is approved
c.) Publication of archives book is approved
d.) Publication of college yearbook shall be a class project of the graduating class

- Multimedia:
a.) Saturday Sinsayan, Baliktanaw, Pari-Ne will be postponed for this semester to give way
for the online talk show of SFS
b.) Kiko-nnection will be the official name of the seminary page
c.) Tinta’t Pluma – official film production of the seminary
d.) Making of logo for each committee was not approved

- Accommodation:
a.) Increase of visiting days if situation permits
b.) Providing of photo albums, reintroduction of AVP, re-barnishing of furnitures
c.) chairman must provide instruction for the ringing of the visitor’s buzzer
d.) Repair: lobby door, porter’s table, male lobby comfort room (vacation)

- Sports:
a.) Alcohol dispenser shall be installed in the gym
b.) Removal of the big tree root beside the soccer field, trimming of the mango tree near
LASAC
c.) Aikido with Fr. Sam every once a week
d.) Installation of fixed gym mirror

- Health:
a.) No quarantine whenever going out of the sem; just take a bath and wear mask for one to
two days upon returning
b.) SJCA will be the official quarantine area of the seminary
- Socio-Cultural:
a.) Introduction of Filipino movies in the list of genre
b.) revival of dramatic guild and dance ensemble
c.) revival of the traditional music fest
d.) There should be two official emcees from each class
e.) awarding of professors and staff upon reaching milestones in the seminary
- SSVP:
a.) There will be no social apostolate unless the pandemic ends

- Cleanliness:
a.) coordinate with Fr. Rector regarding the collection of garbage
b.) Community garden will be revived; plan to be given by the chairman
c.) Personal dust pans will be assigned to seminarians

- Security:
a.) keys shall be collated by the chairman in coordination with Ms. Sally

- Electricity:
a.) use of the right cabinet in the auditorium

- Food:
a.) twice a month cleaning of water filter
b.) tags shall be installed on appliances with the last date with which it was cleaned

1.) Computer laboratory and library is open for Sunday after night prayers until Friday
afternoon
2.) Computers can be used during playing time if necessary
3.) library should be locked at 9:45pm wherein there is an assigned librarian
4.) Tilamsik wasn’t published last semester due to issues on punctuality; literary pieces will
be screened for the next semester’s publication
5.) On discipline: courtesy on priest-in-charge with regards to committee decisions,
courtesy on priests regarding the health status of those sick especially those who were
late-comers, courtesy on priests or immediate superior when being asked for other
priests’personal errands
6.) Standing-by on the ante-kitchen will be limited only for recreation and playing time
7.) On Seniors’Thesis: revisions shall be presented to priest-moderator; once approved, it
will be ready for publication
8.) On Revalida: thesis statements will be introduced, while some will be revised
