GUIDELINES IN THE ASSIGNMENT OF CHOIR GROUPS IN WEDDINGS

(draft – for comment)

I. SCHEDULE
a. All choir groups in the parish shall be given equal opportunity to sing during weddings to do.
The order/cycle of assignment shall be in alphabetical order, to wit:
i. Angels Choir
ii. Cathedral Emmanuel Youth Choir
iii. Couples for Christ Choir
iv. El Shaddai Choir
v. Lovelight Choir
vi. Lumen Christe Chorale
vii. Oasis of Love Dawn Choir
viii. Parish Youth Ministry Chorale
ix. Psalm 66
x. Stella Maris Choir
xi. Vox Misericordiea Chorus

b. In the event that a particular choir group is requested, the cycle shall be adjusted in such
manner to maintain the equal opportunity.

c. The officer in charge of weddings of the Cathedral Rectory shall submit to the PMMC
Secretary and PIO the schedule of the weddings for the ensuing month five not later than the
25th of the current month.

d. The PMMC Secretary and PIO shall prepare the assignment of choir groups, for approval of the
PMMC President.

II. HONORARIUM AND DISTRIBUTION

a. The honorarium of choir groups for weddings shall be fixed at three thousand five hundred
pesos only (PHP 3,500.00), which shall be collected by the Cathedral Rectory.

b. The distribution of the honorarium shall be as follows:

i. PHP 500.00 - repair and maintenance of equipment
ii. 500.00 - PMMC funds
 iii. 500.00 - organist
iv. 2,000.00 - choir group

c. In case of weddings for indigents, a special arrangement shall be made by the resident
organist, in such a manner that shall not disrupt the cycle, and a special rate of two thousand
pesos only (PHP 2,000.00) shall be collected by the Cathedral Rectory, which shall be
distributed as follows:
i. PHP 500.00 - repair and maintenance of equipment
ii. 300.00 - PMMC funds
iii. 500.00 - organist
iv. 700.00 - singer/s

d. The Cathedral Rectory shall create such accounts as necessary for the repair and maintenance
of equipment, as well as for PMMC funds.

e. The share for the organist and the choir groups shall be disbursed immediately to the
respective treasurers.

III. EEFECTIVITY
a. These guidelines shall take effect immediately upon approval.
b. Any other guidelines inconsistent herewith shall be deemed repealed and modified accordingly.
