END OF YEAR WELFARE COMMITTEE 2023 MEETING OF DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL (DELSUTH),

OGHARA HELD ON TUESDAY, 10TH OCTOBER, 2023 AT THE A&E HOD OFFICE.

1.0) ATENDANCE

2.0) OPENING
The meeting started at 10:30am with an opening prayer said by Mrs. Ofomola Jennifer, Assistant Chief Admin Officer
at the instance of the Committee Chairman. Thereafter, the chairman welcomed and congratulated all present. He
also commended everyone for being on time and reminded the committee of her many tasks. He made it clear that
the committee had to establish a protocol in order to complete the assigned responsibilities before the deadline of
October 31st, 2023. He urged members to focus on how to meet the deadline. He commended the secretary for his
diligent flawless work.

3.0) READING OF THE INAUGURATION MINUTES OF MEETING:


At the instance of the Chairman, Mr. Stober T. Temienor read the minutes of the previous meeting and after a few
observations; Mrs. Jennifer Ofomola moved for the adoption of the minutes and the move was seconded by Mr.
Iteme Emmanual.

4.0) MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:


4.1) TERMS OF REFERENCE
The chairman informs the committee that the proposed town hall meeting will no longer be a town hall as
normal but rather more formal meeting due to the high dignitaries that the Chief Medical Director will be
inviting. In light of this, the committee came up with the plan to hire 15 standing fans to provide a comfortable
environment for all guests. The chairman tasked Engineer Andrew Ofishe to examine each of the hall’s outlets to
determine whether an external extension will be required for support. He further tasked Mr. Iteme Emmanuel to
provide tracing board for projectile.
Mr. Iteme Emmanuel suggested the decoration of the auditorium and provided a list of the materials required.
Additionally, he predicted a total attendance of 250 people.
Engineer Andrew Ofishe suggested that the committee should go for the best products of everything which the
committee agreed upon. He also spoke about the invitation card, but the chairman explained the CMD will
handle that and also present a slide of all the events of the meeting.

8.0) The chairman postpones the welfare package to the next meeting for delineations after it was mentioned.
However, it was noted that each staff was to receive 12.5kg rice as the welfare package. It was also
suggested that the vendors should see the committee before delivery. However, in order for the
committee to work with accurate numbers, the chairman delegated both Mr. Stober Temienor and Mrs.
Jennifer Ofomola to obtain the complete number of DELSUTH employees from the department of
Administration. The chairman was tasked to liaise with audit and procurement department for
information concerning the purchase and disbursement of the possible rice package.

9.0) CLOSING:
The meeting came to a close at 1pm with a closing prayer said by Mr. Iheme Kingsley. The next meeting is scheduled
for Tuesday 17th October, 2023 at the same venue.
