Guidelines for delegates

1. All delegates must be in formal attire. School uniform can be worn by delegates
representing schools (along with the Blazer preferably.)
2. All delegates need to be present and get themselves registered by 9.00 AM.
Registrations will start at 8.00 AM and will end at 9.00 AM.
3. The Guardians accompanying delegates can only be present with them during the
opening ceremony, lunch break, and closing ceremony.
4. Delegates will be provided with lunch and a snack for the evening.
5. All delegates need to maintain decorum (discipline) at all times while respecting
each other.
6. Delegates need to raise their placard when they want to speak. The committee
chairs will acknowledge the delegate and let the delegate speak.
7. Delegates will be evaluated mainly by how active they are during the forum. They
will also be evaluated by the Propositions (suggestions) they bring to the forum
with regard to the updates given about the crisis, and the oppositions
(disagreements with another delegate).
8. If any procedure is unclear, the delegates can raise their placard and ask to approach
the head table to speak with the committee chairs.
9. The organizing committee will always be available to assist the delegates with any
of their needs (washroom breaks or water breaks)
10. A press corps will be established to keep a record of the forum propositions,
oppositions, and resolutions. They have the power to lobby and ask questions
directly from delegates after the committee chairs have permitted them.
11. Only the delegates present at the forum and the closing ceremony will receive the
awards and certificates they’re nominated for (including the Best poster awards)
12. Most of all, have fun, network and get to know future diplomats!
