Why are finances the core of every project?

Project finance helps finance new investment by structuring the financing around the project's
own operating cash flow and assets. The technique can alleviate investment risk and raise finance
at a relatively low cost. Following are the few reasons why finances are the core of every project;

1. Cost-benefit analysis
To assess economic viability, financial stability and corporate viability of a project through
investment appraisals over a period of time. This will allow us to forecast the success of a
project and determine what value will be returned.

2. Budgeting
One of the very important reasons is that every project needs to be planned according to a
budget. It will allow them to effectively allocate, forecast and assign a cost to different areas
of a project optimizing spending.

3. To monitor and control costs

You have to manage cash flow, profit and loss accounts and balance sheets to be able to
monitor and control costs during a project. Because it is easy to overspend on a budget and
destroy a project’s schedule if money runs out. So, monitoring spending on a project is
essential.

Why would you like to work in finance?

I am a Commerce graduate who cleared Certified Management Accountant (CMA US) exam. Also
completed Google’s Data Analytics Certification. Skilled at tools like Excel, Tableau, Powerpoint,
R and SQL. I will describe myself as curious, learnable and having a never settle mindset.
Following are the reasons why I want to work in finance;

1. Curiosity
Accounting always fascinated me. Around 5 years ago, I took Commerce for my bachelors.
Because I want to explore Accounting and finance. Years passed, I completed my graduation
and cleared CMA US after that. But still, after all these years I am feeling the same curiosity. I
want to explore finance more, practice what I learned, experiment and learn new things.

2. Exciting, challenging & fast-paced

I am a person who enjoys to challenging myself to the limits to redefine myself and love to
solve problems. The finance industry runs at an exhilarating pace and I enjoy keeping up to
the faster pace of work. Almost every finance job requires problem-solving skills and some of
the day-to-day tasks may involve fixing complex problems. So for me, it is an exciting
industry to be part of.

3. Opportunities for growth

The growth opportunities are endless, this is one of the greatest things about pursuing a
career in finance, no matter where you start, there are always opportunities to grow and
excel. I have so many potential career choices to choose from, I will never feel limited.
4. Dynamic industry
finance is constantly changing and advancing, there is always something new to learn. The
finance sector is one of the most forward-thinking industries in the world. It's an industry that
is undergoing constant change and growth. The industry is moving in a newer, more exciting
direction. Thanks to these exciting changes, finance jobs require more technical skills and the
hunt for these dynamic & tech-savvy candidates is bigger than ever before.
