TIPS FOR FELLOW TRAVELERS
One must carry essentials such as medical kit. Your medical Kit must include
medicine for headache, vomiting/ dizziness, fever, band-aids, medicine for
stomach ache, and enough supply of any special medicine that you require.
You must remember finding a medicine store there could be difficult,
especially when you are not in the main city of Leh.

Then, coming to one of the most important things, warm clothes; while
traveling to Leh, it is imperative that you carry good number of warm
clothes with you. This implies that you should take jackets, thermal wear,
sweaters, woolen socks, cap, and muffler, among other things. You must also
take lip balm, cold cream, and goggles.

Some dry eatables should also be carried as during your journey you might
get hungry and chances of getting an eatery is less.

It might be a problem to some to get used to the high altitude, and hence do
not attempt attempt to visit places further up as you will face some severe
problems. Our suggestion is to experience Leh in a slow and steady manner.

There is the case of dehydration as you could fall sick if you don’t find water
in such high altitude. Therefore, you should always carry water with you on
all sightseeing trips.

Another important thing to remember is that a heavy intake of alcohol here

could lead to further complications.

LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND

DISCOVERIES-
By doing this project on one of the most beautiful places in India and a
newly found union territory, we have learnt quite a few things that we didn’t
know earlier. The tranquility and peace in the air of Ladakh which we have
only read about is longed to be experienced. The excitement of going to the
mountains and engaging in the various adventure sports surely rush the
adrenaline flow in our body. The nice cold weather of Ladakh is perfect for
having a hot bowl of soupy noodles or sipping the evergreen chai amidst the
cool breeze. Hot, liquid eatables such as soups and teas and coffees
constitute a major part of the cuisine which is special to Ladakh. However,
many dishes such as momos and noodles are also a part of the cuisine of
Bengal. Thus, a lot of wonderful discoveries have been made by us during
the project.
