(Introduction of all the sharks)

Entrepreneur 1- Hallo sharks, My name is –

Entrepreneur 2- and my name is –

Entrepreneur 1- and we’re seeking 50 lakh for 20% equity in our

restaurant “The Indian dutch” . We all know India is a diverse,
multicultural country where we have different traditions, religions,
customs, cultures, languages and most importantly food.

Entrepreneur 2- My brother lives in the Netherlands so I visit there

once a year and over the years I have learned so much about the
country's amazing people, architecture, tradition and amazing
food. We got into this business a while back and stamppot and
stroopwafels have been one of our most loved and famous
dishes.
Entrepreneur 1- So sharks are you ready to taste something
magical?

Shark 1 : Absolutely! These look amazing.

Shark 2 : And smells delicious too!

Shark 3 : Enough talking I just want to dig in already!

(The sharks take a bite)

Shark 1 : It tastes amazing, can you tell us more about these

dishes?

Entrepreneur 1 : I’m glad you like it! So stamppot is one of our

seasonal dishes. It is enjoyed in the winter season. Stamppot is
an old-style Dutch dish. It is made of mashed potatoes mixed with
one or more vegetables like kale, carrots, and endive. It is
enjoyed best with ‘rookworst’.
The kale variety is ideal for winter time, as the kale leaves are
best when frosted, and the cold tenderizes the leaves and
improves the flavor.
However, the dish can also be made at home. The vegetables
are cut and boiled in a pot, and when they are cooked, the
water is drained and the vegetables are mashed together with
butter, salt, pepper, and parsley in order to accentuate the
flavors.

Shark 2 : That explains the instant comfort from this dish.

Shark 3 : Can you tell us about these sweet waffles?

Entrepreneur 2 : So these are actually called stroopwafels.

This is a thin, caramel-filled waffle cookie which is an absolutely
divine sweet treat. Stroopwafel cookies are made with butter,
yeast, caster sugar, an egg, and flour, and then filled with a
decadent caramelly type filling consisting of molasses, brown
sugar, and cinnamon. The outside part of the cookie is similar to
a sugar cone and a belgian waffle, and then the sweet filling
inside—it is just a luscious treat to bite into. Give this caramel
waffle cookie time to cool a bit before digging in and if it gets a
little too cold, put it on top of your mug of coffee or tea to warm
it back up.

Shark 1 : I'm going to cut to the chase and ask about business
figures now.

Entrepreneur 1 : Our turnover during the last six months is

around one crore with a net margin of 5%. As of now our main
focus is not profit. We are trying to reach out to as many
people as possible and once we have sufficient sales and
loyal customers we would focus on the bottom line.So we are
looking for a mentor to guide us through the big decisions.

Shark 2 : I am a big fan of your idea, your food is

delicious, your business is going in the correct direction
although I'm not the right person to guide you through the
food business so for those reasons I'm out, all the best.

Entrepreneur 2 : We understand thank you shark.

Shark 3 : I have an offer of 55 lakh for 40%. I can help you a

lot on this journey.

Entrepreneur 1 : That's a bit too much, could you settle for

25%.

Shark 3 : 45 lakh for 25%.

Shark 1 : I also have an offer of 50 lakh for 22%. What do you

say? I have a lot of connection, knowledge in this industry.

Entrepreneur 1 : I think you have a deal!
