Taho Twist is the new shop in Alimodian. It is shop that offers taho with

different flavor. The Taho Twist is owned by Harold Sta. Cruz and family. Taho is a

Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal, and sago pearl. You can

get our taho in different sizes with affordable prizes. The small size cause 40 pesos,

medium 55 peses and the large one is 70 pesos. We give you different flavors such as

mango, strawberry, ube, chocolate, and our specialty, lychee and dragon fruit flavored

taho. Taho Twist will be located in Bgy. Binalud, Alimodian, Iloilo. It will open for 9

hours from 8 in the morning and will be close 5 in the afternoon. Our shop will operate

6 days every week except Sunday, the day off. You can also purchased it online

through our Facebook page, just message us so that we could definitely delivery it

directly to your house as long as your address is with in the parameters of

Alimodian(charged delivery fees). In this home-based business of ours’, the capital

would be 20000 pesos. Considering all the equipments and ingredients I think this is

already enough since this is just small business. Just like everyone say its not how small

we start its how we grow and big we’ve become.

 Taho Twist is the new shop in Alimodian. It is shop that offers taho with different

flavor. Taho is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal, and sago

pearl. This staple comfort food is a signature sweet and taho peddlers can be found all

over the country. Tofu is made from soybean curds. It is naturally gluten-free and low

in calories. It contains no cholesterol and is an excellent source of iron and calcium.

It is an important source of protein, especially for vegans and vegetarians.

It also contains isoflavones such as phytoestrogens. Isoflavones may have both

estrogen-agonist or estrogen-antagonist properties. These may help protect against

some cancers, heart disease, and osteoporosis.

Taho is a very unique product not only its delicious but healthy. In Alimodian,

Taho here is very popular and loved by the people however only few street vendors sell

here. The production here is really not that big that’s why there is no competition. The

lack production is a good indication of fewer competitors. Costumers will loved our taho

because we will provide different flavors in which they can choose from. We will provide

them mango, ube, chocolate, strawberry and many more flavored taho. This is

something unique because taho is just usually paired with plain sugar syrup.

The Industry, Competition, and Market

 Today, taho is a popular street food in the Philippines. It is peddled in villages,

thoroughfares, and business districts in the city. It is a power-up snack for workers who

left home without taking breakfast. There are small but notable attempts to elevate

taho as a commercial snack. The Magtataho (taho vendor) is a common sight in the

Philippine streets. A magtataho carries two large aluminum buckets that hang from

each end of a carrying pole. The larger bucket carries the tofu base; the smaller bucket

holds the arnibal and sago pearls.

Here in Alimodian, sellers are roaming from different barangays to the town of

alimodian just to sell their taho and earn money for living. In Iloilo, local stores has

been opened in some malls and in some towns with in the parameters of the city. We

have Taho Republic and Manong Taho that offers different flavors such as classic,

chocolate, strawberry, ube ,and mango, with there specialty such as ube quezo and

mango graham flavored taho. Around the Philippines in some convenience stores, you’ll

find chilled taho in the cold foods section. Nelson’s Taho in Rockwell, Makati, offers a

truly exceptional version of the soybean pudding, slicing the pudding into super-thin

layers so that each slice absorbs and mixes well with the syrup. Although taho has

many Asian versions, the Philippine taho and the way Filipinos adapted it is undeniably

a heritage we can proudly call our own. Its sweet flavor, attributed to caramelized

sugar, is one of the reasons why it has become popular among Filipinos — who are

known to have a sweet tooth.

and Instagram. As I have said this is a home-based business means if you ordered

online we could definitely delivery it directly to your house as long as your address is

with in the parameters of Alimodian(charged delivery fees). Delivery time is scheduled

to consider some instances. As an owner we would like to get your thoughts and

opinions about our products so that we can improve it as it should be. You can always

In my home, is where I am comfortable and also my family could help me in my

business. As an owner-employer of my business I need to associate things

independently. I will value time and money and also will try to improve my business

daily.

Well since this is a home based business there isn’t much things needed. I will

only need few equipments such as cooking tools like measuring cups and spoons,

bowls, pots etch. I will also need plastic cups to be the container of the taho, and

spoons and straws. For a starting business I can just buy ingredients online such as

tofu powders, brown sugar, sago pearls, and flavored syrups. For the different flavors I

will make sure to add fruit bits like strawberries, mango, ube, and many more. If I can

purchase tofu maker to achieve that raw soy flavor I will buy. For the informations and

stuff, it is stated in our online platforms or you could message us or directly see us face

to face for any concerns.

SWOT Analysis
Srengths

Taho is one of the most favorite dessert of every Filipino. Taho is for everyone.

Taho has many benefits in our health. We embraced diversity by offering a variety of

flavors of taho. Our business is very easy access by the buyers because aside from the

actual store they can purchase it online.

Weaknessess

Taho is seasonal. Taho are likely mostly to be bought during rainy season or cold

season. It’s a struggle for now to put up a business because of pandemic. People may

prefer the existing taho shops in the province .

Opportunities

There is no other shops or restaurant here in Alimodian that offers taho. The only

competitor that we have is the vendors that sell only the classic one.

Threats

Milk tea businesses will likely to be our competitors. Due to trends, people will

hype milk tea and influence other people to taste milk tea rather than taho. If this

pandemic wont stop, it will be hard for us an entrepreneur.

 In this home-based business, my capital would be 30000 pesos. Considering all

the equipments and ingredients I think this is already enough since this is just small

business. Just like everyone say its not how small we start its how we grow and big

we’ve become.

The Taho Twist is owned by Harold Sta. Cruz and family. Simce this is a home-

based business there is no need of lawyers and accoutant. The owner and some of

family members are also the employees.
