Greek Myth Title Main Characters/Plot Summary What does this teach us about Greece?

Characters- King Midas, satyr Greed cannot always win. The gods helped him realize that

and falls in love with him, but finds herself heartbroken by

that he would die at a young age but his mother, in order to
make Achilles immortal, took him to the River Styx. There she
held him by his left heel and dipped him into the water that
Achilles made him invincible, and grew up to be the most fearless
warrior of the Trojan War. However, in battle, the Trojan
prince, Paris, shot an arrow into Achilles’ heel.m the spot that
Achilles’ mother had held him when she dipped him in the
water, and died.
Characters- Demeter, Persephone, Hades Loving your beloved can bring prosperity, and happiness to
Demeter, the Harvest goddess adored her daughter,
the land, as well as one’s heart. But, losing your love would

her just as much. She gets separated from her mother and

Orpheus was a cherished musician in Greece that even the birds stopped chirping
to listen him play his lyre. He was in love with a wood nymph, Eurydice and back in their word. Never second- guess gods
