Power of communication: Take away from the movie

There is overall change on the whole group after having the long discussion on the subject. The
power of asking the various questions, questioning the different aspects and coming down to a
common view point made them to think through various analytics.

We learn that whenever a number of people from different background, mindset, culture come
together, conflicts are bound to happen. In discussion, it is likely that power and politics came into
play when people with dominant characteristics try to influence and try to make to think or work
according to their opinion. Such case should be properly analyzed and emphasis should be given
such that discussion happen in unbiased and non-influential way and everybody gets a fair chance to
participate and express their opinion or views.

We can clearly make out that some decisions are taken as a team then the focus should be on
gathering inputs from all participants and come to an common conclusion, keeping aside only
individual view points.

We also learn that any conclusion or decision should be based on reasonable evidence and it can be
dangerous to rush to any conclusion. Takin this movie instance, initially most of the jury members
were in a rush to shut the case and conclude the boy guilty even realizing that it’s a matter of
someone’s life.

their mindset, culture, prejudices and perception. However, keeping the conclusion in mind the
