Singapore

Is a sovereign island in Southeast Asia. It borders the Straits of Malacca, Indonesia and the South
China Sea.

Singapore is a major international transport hub in Asia, serving some of the busiest sea and air
trade routes. Having more than 200 shipping routes, it’s a natural choke point boosting entrepôt
trade

Strait of Malacca – one of the most important shipping lanes is on the borders of Singapore,
helping Singapore to boost its trades.

China and other south East Asian countries are heavily dependent on Singapore’s routes.

Tourism is a major industry and contributor to the Singaporean economy, attracting 18.5 million
international tourists in 2018, more than three times Singapore's total population. Singapore is the
5th most visited city in the world, and 2nd in the Asia-Pacific. In 2019 tourism contributed directly
to about 4% of Singapore's GDP

Singapore is the world's 3rd-largest foreign exchange centre, 6th-largest financial centre, 2nd-largest
casino gambling market, 3rd-largest oil-refining and trading centre, largest oil-rig producer and hub
for ship repair services, and largest logistics hub. The economy is diversified, with its top contributors
being financial services, manufacturing, and oil-refining. Its main exports are refined petroleum,
integrated circuits, and computers, which constituted 27% of the country's GDP in 2010.

UAE
Is a country in Western Asia. It is located at the eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula, and shares
borders with Oman and Saudi Arabia, while having maritime borders in the Persian Gulf with Qatar
and Iran.

UAE due to its geographical location, it has abundance of Oil & Gas. Oil and Gas itself contributes
close to 30% of total GDP.

Due to its placement b/w Europe, East Asian, North African countries, it has convenient land
routes for trade’s mobility. This helps UAE to have broad diplomatic and commercial relations with
most countries and members of the United Nations.

Due to centrally positioned and being equidistant from African & Eurasian countries, it is one of
them most popular aviation hub. Dubai International Airport became the busiest airport in the
world by international passenger traffic in 2014,

Apart from land routes, UAE has great sea routes and ports and are constantly developing them in
order to participate in trade between Europe and China or Africa.

Business & Finance - the country has made continuous and convincing improvements to its
regulatory environment and is ranked as the 26th best nation in the world for doing business by the
Doing Business 2017 Report published by the World Bank Group
