After a 5-year construction period, the Sheikh
Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Hospital will be
the largest health centre in Kuwait.
Equipped with 1,168 beds the hospital in addition

Project description
At the university a hospital and a research centre are located.
The hospital is specialized in the treatment of sick children.
It is the first hospital of the kind in Saudi Arabia and has
85,000 m² of floor space. The building has a capacity of
350 beds, and makes available concentrated paediatric
medical care. Each hospital ward has its own classrooms,
play rooms, storage areas and other support services.

ECOTHERM has also fitted out the world‘s second-tallest
building – the 601-meter Abraj Al Bait Towers and Mecca
Royal Clock Hotel Tower – with high-quality electrical
hot water systems, after equipping the much taller Burj
Khalifa in Dubai (828 meters).
The edifice‘s main tower features a Big Ben-styled
timepiece whose face can be read at a distance of 7
kilometers. The tower is topped by a long, solid spire
ending in a half-moon at its apex. The extremely compact
building complex offers over 1 million square meters of
floorspace and was constructed to accommodate the
numerous Muslim pilgrims who visit the mosque and
holy sites in Mecca: when full, the complex can house
over 30,000 people.
A total of 63 stainless steel electrical hot water
systems were supplied, with a combined output of
3,900 kW and 66,150 liters of hot water.

The PV system in Eberstalzell was built by energy
supplier ENERGIE AG not just as a power plant, but also
as a research station with the purpose of measuring the
yield, service life and degradation of a range of different
modules.
Local service and support plus product quality were the
decisive factors behind the purchase of Fronius products.
Installation Highlights
The main features of the Fronius Agilo are its
compact dimensions and heavyduty castors, which
make it easy to move the inverter from one location to
another. “The spacious connection area and the new
terminals saw the installation completed in no time
at all”, explained Hubert Bammer of the Fronius R&D
department.
