Dear all,
I am very proud to introduce the new collection
“The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have
launched the first eBook, including the photo-
graphic work of the 10 administrators, who at that
time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Sin-
ce then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Spe-
cial edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calen-
dars 2016.

This new collection – The Series - is made of diffe-

rent eBooks, each one (or more than one if requi-
red) related to a specific photographic theme, in-
cluding the artworks of several authors from Italy
and abroad. This is the second eBook of the fourth
line of this new collection and has been dedicated
to Black and White.
We are all so excited and happy to be able to collect such
beautiful images and, most of all to be able to share
them with a wide audience.

L’inizio. Le prime immagini fotografiche, come quelle cinematografiche, furo-

no in Bianco e nero. Prima ancora che esistessero fotocamere “personali” I
Fotografi erano quasi degli EROI. Portando in giro attrezzature ora impensabi-
li, hanno svelato un mondo a tutti irraggiungibile, con le loto fotocamere pe-
santi, ingombranti, con lastre di vetro, su cui doveva essere stesa a mano
una gelatina di bromuro d’argento, sviluppata subito dopo lo scatto. Ora, con
le nostre Reflex, andiamo comodamente in giro e scattiamo stupende immagi-
ni a colori. Eppure, anora oggi, molti eliminano le informazioni-colore per rida-
re, con il Bianco e Nero, un’atmosfera di stupenda irrealtà alle proprie immagi-
ni. Un fascino che il tempo non potrà mai modificare.

Black And White

The beginning. The first photographic images were black and white. Before
there were "personal" cameras, the photographers were almost HEROES.
Bringing around their equipment now unthinkable, they have unveiled a
world unreachable to all, with their heavy cameras, bulky, with glass plates
on which was to be laid by hand a gelatin silver bromide, to be developed im-
mediately after the shooting. Now, with our Reflex we go around and we take
beautiful color pictures. Yet, even today, many photographers eliminate color
information to give back, with Black and White, the wonderful atmosphere of
unreality to their images. A charm that time will never change.

Photography for me is a passion, a mixture of

science and art that creates magic: each image is
a mysterious part of something not yet revealed.
Black and white photography is pure concentra-
tion, in black and white I suggest, in color I state.

His photography is essentially a travel guide, a testimony
of ethnic customs and traditions of other peoples , in
part , with the contamination of the Western world , they
are losing .
And the photograph , especially in this case , is an incre-
dible tool of transmission of knowledge and historical re-
cord for future generations .He loves to focus on the por-
trait , in its most classic , but also spontaneous , trying

Having an avid passion of photography since my teenage years. I started

taking photographs with my father's old camera, then passing to an analo-
gue camera and my passion developing.
My first shots can be summed up as a huge frenetic desire to capture eve-
rything that was presented infront of the camera.
I went through a long period of "darkness" where I had put the camera in a
drawer, but never abandoning the world of photoghraphy. Looking on the
web for great operas by great masters, to study and to continue to improve
my creativity.
For several years thanks to purchasing a reflex digital, I began to take pictu-
res again and therefore to live in what means the world to me the magic of
photography.
I do not know if anything has changed from my first convulsive jerks, but I
think that now the experience of life,
with the maturity of my years, combined with the never dormant passion
for this wonderful art has enabled me
to discover the world from different points of view. Increasing in me the
a c h i e v e m e n t t h a t a g o o d p h o t o g r a p h

can be hidden anywhere.
