ROBOTICS CHAMPIONSHIP

ADVANCING A GENERATION OF TERENGGANU ROBOTICS INNOVATORS AND THINKERS

1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Sultan Mizan Royal Foundation Cup Robotics Championship is a competition held in partnership with
Roboticist Malaysia. The championship is also supported by the Terengganu State Education Department. In
this competition, you will be introduced to virtual robot programming, robotics innovation as well as
strengthening your knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) while solving
fun and challenging missions related to agricultural growth and marine health in Terengganu.

The competition is open to youth in Terengganu from age 10 to 17 years old. Students must participate in
pairs (group of 2). Participants will be divided according to their age group as follow:

i) Group 1: 10 to 12 years old

ii) Group 2: 13 to 15 years old
iii) Group 3: 16 to 17 years old

Listed below are the two (2) categories opened for participation with brief description:

1) VIRTUAL ROBOT PROGRAMMING (VRP) CHALLENGE

Participants will have to solve a mission on a virtual playground by programming the robot using a web-based
blocks programming platform and submit the code of completed challenge to the organiser before the
deadline ends.

2) ROBOTICS-INNOVATION PITCH CHALLENGE

Participants will have to prepare a 3-minutes pitch summarizing the topics given in a live session to local and
international judges.

Different level of difficulties is set for all three (3) age group mentioned above and one group is eligible to
compete in one category ONLY. An online training will be given to all participants and will be conducted by
Roboticist Malaysia to prepare the participants for the competition.

Participants must fulfil the following requirements to compete in this prestigious championship:

1) Smart phone / tab / laptop / personal computer (PC)

2) Stable internet connection
3) Determination and spirit
