Dear Candidate,

Congratulations for being selected for the online orientation programme

2022, scheduled from May 25th (Wednesday) to May 27th (Friday) at the
department of Editing at Electronic and Digital Media Wing, SRFTI,
Kolkata. We on behalf of the department welcome you all for the program
and wish you all the best. Please go through the program details and the
requirements below.

Firstly we would like to request you to locate yourself with a stable

internet connection for the above mentioned 3 days. The program will be
conducted in a mixed way which includes live sessions on Google Meet
and off-line submissions via emails.

You will be required to interact with the orientation committee through an

online platform. For this purpose you should have access to a computer
system/ Smartphone with internet connection, a webcam, a microphone
and a headphone/speaker. The interaction will happen on Google Meet
platform; hence you are advised to download this app/software in your
system. You will be sent a separate email regarding your interaction
schedule along with the link to join the sessions. Make sure to enter the
online sessions with your own gmail account and not someone else’s. In
case you fail to create your own gmail account you have to inform us an
hour before the scheduled interaction over SOS phone number
8583872660.

As a part of the orientation process you are required to submit the

following:

A) A short note about yourself (within 300 words) highlighting the

following:

- Educational Background

- Hobbies and interests

- Work experience (if any)

B) Your reason for applying for the course at SRFTI (within 200 words)

Should be sent in a single email ONLY. Submissions after the deadline

won’t be considered.

All live sessions will be conducted on Google Meet.

Hence you are advised to download this app/software and you need to
view the audio-visual clips via the links and then complete the given
assignments

The Orientation program will happen in two phases:

Phase 1: Assignments
Phase 2: Individual Interaction

Phase1:

In the phase 1 of the orientation program you are required to work on 2

assignments.

The details of the assignments will be discussed on the 1st day of the
orientation i.e. 25th May 2022.

All assignments to be submitted on 26 th May by 11 am.

Assignment Submission Guidelines

The assignments will be mailed to you after the commencement of the OC

on 25th May,2022 at 11 am. It has to be completed by 26th May and
submitted latest by 11am and via email to the below mentioned mail id:

Phase 2: Individual Interaction

In this phase you will be required to interact with orientation committee

through Google Meet.

The link for the Interaction Session for each group will be shared
separately via mail.

1) All candidates should have gmail ids with their names.

2) Candidates will be divided into four groups A, B, C & D according to their

interaction dates and time slots.

3) Each candidate will be intimated about their particular time slot when they
are to appear for personal interaction for either Day 1 OR Day 2 OR Day 3
on 25tht May 2022.

4) Candidates have to present their Jet Admit Card and photo id like Aadhar
in the beginning of the interaction.

5) Candidates will have to be ready for the entire half of their respective
scheduled time slot from Day 1 to Day 3

6) In case of any delay the next candidate will be intimated over the phone
beforehand to enter the Google meet session at a later time.

7) In case a candidate finds it difficult to enter the online session on the

scheduled time he/she will be asked to join at a later time on the same
date. In this case the next available candidate will be called to join the
session.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

After receiving the copy of this document, the candidate should

acknowledge the same by sending a reply email stating that he/she has
received the mail.

The candidate should carry a valid photo ID and JET Admit Card with
him/her during the interaction.
