HReform – The Virtual HR Simulation

You are an HR manager overviewing the staffing for a certain project Alpha from the client
Stark Industries. Stark Industries is a very important client for your company, and you want
the best people to work on this project, Alpha. As it is a high-profile project, many people have
shown interest in working on it. Alpha has two technical domains, Artificial Intelligence and
Cloud Computing. Among the people who have shown interest in working on the project there
are two of the best employees, Aman and Aditya.

Aman has been associated with your company for a long time and has climbed the ladder very
fast. He is said to be the best in your company in the Artificial Intelligence domain. He is also
in a senior lead position in the company.

Aditya has also been associated with your company for a long time. He is an expert in cloud
computing and is leading the team lead for it. He has received many rewards for his exceptional
performance in the company.

You know that it is obvious that Aman and Aditya should lead the teams on both fronts as they
are the best. But there is an issue. They both have very conflicting personalities. The project
manager, Arun, is very skeptical about bringing both of them in the same project as there is a
possibility of personality clash and loss in the project. Arun is of the opinion that we can bring
either Aman or Aditya but not both.

Another issue that you are facing is that if either Aman or Aditya is denied the opportunity of
working on such a high-profile project, then they may defect to the competitor. This would be
a huge intellectual loss to the company. Also, Aman and Aditya both have a significant
influence on their respective teams due to their impeccable record. There will be a tremendous
effect of their behavior on their teams.

Design an approach to tackle this situation by analyzing all possible outcomes and giving a
decision weighing all of them. Give a proper rationale behind your approach.

Normal Page Margins : 2.54 cm x 2.54 cm
2. You can make relevant assumptions provided that you state them clearly in the
document.
3. You are required to provide the rationale behind the decision and the possible outcomes
of your decision.
4. Only one submission will be accepted from a team which is to be made by the team
leader only.
5. All the submissions should be made via the submission link in the D2C platform. No
submission will be accepted via mail.
6. Follow the naming convention: (Teamname_TeamLeaderName)
