Artificial Intelligence Film Analysis Paper

I. Description of the Film

This movie is an inspirational for me because it gives me so many lessons about life.
The movie shows that how human is capable of in the future. Nothing is impossible when it
comes to science and technology.

The movie is about an invention that was activated, he exists to love and be loved by
Monica. At first he simply works because of the codes given by his inventors. He was a
temporary replacement of Martin, Monica’s sick son. David imitates life. He does not sleep,
but observes bed time. He doesn’t eat, but he has a strong desire to be like Martin that he
damages his wiring by eating spinach. He was treated by cruelty by other kids because he
doesn’t do things like other normal boys. Until one day Martin almost drown they give fault to
David, but Martin was just trying to protect and care for Martine. That day they decided to
get rid of him like get rid of a dog. Monica in the other hand cannot bring herself to return
David to Cybertronics. She decided to just drop David to a forest, to join other discarded
mechas.

The center act of this movie shows David wandering the world where mechas have no
rights. Until David search for the blue fairy that he believes to make him a real boy like
Pinocchio. David had a bumpy journey until he found the blue fairy. He waits until he’s wish will
be granted. 2000 years passed where people no longer exist and David was frozen under the
ocean. Aliens exist during that time and they discovered David. They used David’s memories to
know how human race lived when they exist. They also grant David to be with his mother that
he really loved and live with her. At the end David found what his heart really wants and that is
to be loved by a mother.

II. Issues in Technology Involved in the Film

The issue in technology involved in the film is that how technology and science so
advance that human is possible. People in the movie become so intelligent even their race
was at risk to instinct. But on the other hand they have this will that they create those
mechas to serve people or become their slaves. They don’t keep in mind that as they used
mechas, the rights of mechas are also violated by humans. They dump mechas like they
don’t help people at all.

The issue also is using artificial intelligence can also harm to us people because data or
information about human are easy to be collected by them. They have this ability that they
can collect information faster than a human. Right to privacy is also violated in this movie.
 This movie really gives us the information that we should also give importance to everything
we create and give limits to things in order for as to be safe also.

III. Self- Analysis and Self- Assessment of the issues Involve in the Film

As we all know that Artificial Intelligence is the highest invention and biggest
achievement of a human from time to time, before and then. Artificial Intelligence can shape
the behaviour of an individual on how they take their responsibilities towards our society,
even in the whole world because it simulate characteristics of human intelligence on senses
and artificial intelligence could be a substitute to a something or it will replace a thing or
even a man can be replaced of.

The issues for me is really alarming because the presence of science and technology
gives us so many benefits that will help us to have a better life but it could also harm the
world because of unending ideas of human kind. Pollution exists that harms all over the
world. We should balance all the things we do and always remember the consequences in
every steps you make. Let’s not wait that even human race in future will be extinct.

IV. Conclusion

Exploring and expanding your knowledge is okay but know your limitations. As the movie
portrays, highly industrialized civilization results to a drastic decrease in population due to
the massive destruction of the environment, depicting abuse of the principle of stewardship.
In addition, people of the movie have created an artificial intelligence to satisfy various and
selfish gratification such as solitude, entertainment and sex that you will ever wander how
they do it. Always keep in mind about the global effect of abused use of science and
 technology. This movie is an eye opener and gives us the hint of what future will be because
of science and technology.
