School Closures
400364 Virginia Park Elementary K-6 students will move to a new building, East Point
Elementary (400364) and will retain the same population that would have attended
Virginia Park Elementary.

School Reconfigurations
400320 Beachy Cove Elementary is reconfigured from a K-6 to a K-4 school. Grades 5
and 6 students that would have attended Beachy Cove Elementary will attend the new
Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Intermediate school in September 2017.
400334 Larkhall Academy is reconfigured from a K-6 to a K-5 school. Grade 6 students
who would have attended Larkhall Academy will attend Leary’s Brook Junior High
(400335) in September 2017. Larkhall Academy also has a catchment zone reduction,
with a section of the Old Penneywell Road area rezoned from Larkhall Academy to St.
Andrew’s Elementary (400349).

400349 St. Andrew’s Elementary is reconfigured from a K-6 to a K-5 school. Grade 6
students who would have attended St. Andrew’s Elementary attend Leary’s Brook Junior
High (400335) instead. St. Andrew’s Elementary also has a catchment change, with a
section of the Old Penneywell Road area rezoned from Larkhall Academy (400334) to St.
Andrew’s Elementary.

400303 St. Edward’s Elementary has a reduced catchment with a portion of the
catchment rezoned to the new CBS K-7 school.

400371 Upper Gullies Elementary has a reduced catchment with a portion of the
catchment rezoned to the new CBS K-7 school.

Elementary instead.

400496 Brookside Intermediate (5-9) is expected to open in September 2017. Grade 5 and

Brookside Intermediate in September 2017. Grade 7-9 students that reside in the Beachy
Cove Elementary catchment who would have attended Leary’s Brook Junior High will
attend Brookside Intermediate in September 2017.

September 2017. In 2018-19, the school configuration will change from K-6 to K-7. The
