6 to Grades 4-6. , Grades K-3 students that would have attended 300144 - Sprucewood
Academy will either attend 300142 - Woodland Primary (K-3) or 300494 - Forest Park

Primary (K-3) based on their school zones. Grades 4-6 students that would have attended
300144 - Sprucewood Academy will continue to attend 300144 - Sprucewood Academy.

Eastern School Region Region Id: 400

School Closures

400465 Holy Cross Junior High School, St. John’s, (7-9) will close effective June 2016.
Grade 7-9 students that would have attended 400465 - Holy Cross Junior High School
will attend 400330 - Brother Rice Junior High School, effective September 2016.

School Openings

400493 Grade 5-6 students that will attend Torbay Intermediate School will continue to
attend Holy Trinity Elementary until the construction of the new school is completed in
the 2016-17 school year. Grade 5-6 students that will attend Torbay Intermediate School
will continue to attend Cape St. Francis until the construction of the new school is
completed in the 2016-17 school year. In 2017-18, 400493- Torbay Intermediate School
will be reconfigured as a Grades 5-7 school. Torbay Intermediate School is the
temporary name assigned to the school until an official name has been decided.

400492 Octagon Pond Elementary (Paradise) name is official. K-6 students in the
Octagon Pond Elementary catchment currently attending at the Holy Family Elementary
building and the School for the Deaf building will attend the new Octagon Pond
Elementary building in the 2016-17 school year.

School Rezoning - Feeder School Changes

400325 Bishop Abraham Elementary students will be rezoned to attend 400330 - Brother
Rice Junior High School after completing Grade 6, effective September 2016.

400330 Brother Rice Junior High School students will be zoned to attend only 400340 -
Holy Heart after completing Grade 9 effective September 2017. A single feeder system
will be employed for Brother Rice Junior High students with all students attending Holy
Heart of Mary High School alter completing Grade 9.
