living in a society. The Philippines nowadays has various social, economic, and political

issues that can influence every individual in the community. In addition, social,

economic, and political issues in the Philippines are consist of poverty, lack of

education, environmental issues, drug or substance abuse, corruption, etc. and one

thing is, It requires cooperation between governments and societies. Nevertheless,

cooperation in the Philippines requires globalization in the economic, social, and

political fields, democracy is the way to ensure cooperation between governments and

societies, and likewise, It has driven everybody to comprehend the significance and

connections between critical thinking and dynamic abilities.

Issues and concerns

The social, economic, and political issues in the Philippines nowadays give rise

to everyone to think creatively and at the same time, it encourages the government and

the Duterte's administration to take action concerning the issues in the Philippines and

managed to deliver point of the current issue which is the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nowadays, Duterte's administration placed the country under lockdown,

restricting people’s movement to limit the spread of Covid-19, using the military, as well

as the police and local officials, to enforce the lockdown. Tens of thousands of people

were arrested and often detained in crowded jails and holding centers where they were

at increased risk of contracting the virus. Police and local officials targeted vulnerable
populations, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and

children, and in some cases using public humiliation and cruel treatment (Marie, 2020)

Point of View

The most existing issue in the Philippines nowadays is the Covid-19 pandemic.

Firstly, the issue of covid-19 has various negative effects on society for it carries

everyone in a tough situation or circumstances and likewise led to a dramatic loss of

human existence worldwide and introduces a distinctive challenge to social health, food

systems, and the world of labor. The economic and social disruption that resulted in the

pandemic is devastating: tens of millions of the population are at chance of dropping

into severe poverty.

Statement of the Problem

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that resulted in a newly

discovered coronavirus. In addition, individuals infected with the COVID-19 virus will

encounter gentle to direct respiratory illness and recover without requiring uncommon

therapy. Older people and those with basic clinical issues like cardiovascular disease,

diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are bound to develop serious

illnesses.

The COVID-19 virus spreads principally through droplets of saliva or release

from the nose when an infected individual coughs or sneezes, so it’s significant that

you similarly practice respiratory etiquette.

Objectives:

• To acknowledge the significant factors concerning the social, economic, and political

issues in the Philippines nowadays.

•To provide a precise statement regarding these issues.

•To think critically in order to offer evidence pertaining to these issues.

Areas of consideration

INTERNAL FORCES
Strengths Category:

The pandemic, and the slump all but specific to follow, threaten to pre-empt

and devastate actions to construct the future of work, and thus the future of the

Philippines how to develop decent employment, lessen poverty, and redefine

connections and configurations to limit the huge income inequality that surpasses the

nation's prosperity and success. Thus the current conference became not only an

investigation for performing employment in a post-coronavirus world but also a

discussion laden with doubts, concerns, and aspirations about how the future may

develop. Overall, the coronavirus will have hope if it fulfills as the motivation for the

positive uprising, in the means that the suddenly pushed dependency on

telecommunication is already carrying an influence.

Weakness Category:

As the coronavirus spreads across the country, it occurs to be setting off a

devastating acknowledgment with another of the considerable powers of our

time: economic imbalance. In civilizations where the virus slams, it is worsening the

effects of imbalance, dragging many of the responsibilities onto the losers of today’s

polarized economies and labor markets. Investigation implies that those in lower

economic strata are inclined to capture the disease. They are also inclined to die from it

and straight for those who remain healthy, they are inclined to endure a loss of income

or health maintenance as an outcome of quarantines and other measures, potentially on

a comprehensive scale. At the exact period, imbalance itself may be working as a

multiplier on the coronavirus’s spread and deadliness. Investigation on influenza has

found that in an epidemic, poverty and imbalance can worsen rates of communication

and mortality for everyone.

COVID-19 is indeed a threat to all of us. But it is a particularly severe threat for

people in areas where armed conflict and other circumstances have ruined health and

only worsened the humanitarian problem in various conditions but have further

uncovered pre-existing safety difficulties and the consequences suffered when

international law, comprising international humanitarian law, is not appropriately

accepted.

‘essential services’ within administration service requirement and emergency

management frameworks. The guidance also includes:

a parent or caregiver becomes ill and must evacuate or, is extremely sick to care for

their children.

decision-making process carried out by an authorized caseworker.
