The Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic to Education

Have a nice day, today I will give a speech about the Impact of covid-19 pandemic to education. The
covid-19 pandemic has changed the world. Due to the nature of the lifestyle, and profound impacts on
the economic political and cultural landscapes of societies across the worl. When responding to covid-19
pandemic the first consideration must always be the safety and health of everyone in the country. While
countries around the world are racing to understand and limit the spread of the new coroñavirus as
headlines focus on those effortsa major side effects has been overlooked: education covid-19 is, in fact
amplifying the struggles to receive a quality education.

Going to school is the best public tool available to raise skills. While school time can be fun and raise
social skills and social awareness from an economic point of view the primary point of being in school is
that it increase child's ability. Before this pandemic the students must go to school to learn but now
because of this covid-19 many countries have decided to close schools, colleges, and universities. The
severe short- term disruption is felt by many families arround the world: home schooling is not only a
massive shock to parents productivity but also to childrens social life and learning. Teaching is moving
online and modules, on an untested and unprecedented scale. Students assesments are also moving
online, with a lot of trial and error and uncertainty for everyone. Many assestments have simply been
cancelled.

On the other hand this covid-19 pandemic have a big impact in education not only in education but also
in everyone. The impact was more severe for disadvantage children and families causing interuppted
learning compromised nutrition, childcare problems and consequent economics cost to families who
could not work. The face to face class/learning become online class its because of this covid-19
pandemic. It become a problem to the parents especially to the family that poor or have no work
because online class need a money for load for data. Because of covid-19 the parents must divide their
time its because they give time to teach thier children to understand the modules or the topic their
online class.

The Effect of COVID-19 to Everyone

The world is perplexed by the outbreak of a new severe acute respiratory syndrome. The new
coronavirus (COVID-19), reported in December 19, had it's epicenter in Wuhan, Hubei province, in the
People's Republic of China and has spread to several countries across the world. The COVID-19
pandemic has brought uprecedented educational disruption with 1.2 billion students and youth across
the planet affected by school closures. And this virus threatens everyone.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we
have faced since the World War Two. And now we have reached the tragic milestone of one million
deaths, and the human family is suffering under an almost intolerable burden of loss. Every day, people
are losing their jobs and income, with no way of knowing when normality will return.

But the pandemic is much more than a health crisis, it's also an uprecedented socio-economic crisis.
Stressing everyone of the countries it touches, it has the potential to create devastating social, economic
and political effects that will leave deep and longstanding scars.

Education is a key ally in defending rights and protecting the rule of law and is essential life skills in crisis.
Children, particularly girls who are taught in school from an early age about their right to be protected
from abuse. Learning empathy, respecting diversity and being able to recognize and challenge
discrimination are key skills that young people need to avoid socities becoming even more polarized.

Distance learning is long-term, carefull attention should be placed on the language of instructions,
content progression and relevance for students. The severe short-term disruption is felt by many
families around the world: home schooling is not only a massive shock to parent's productivity, but also
to children's social life and learning. Teaching is moving online on an untested and uprecedented scale.
Student's assessment are also moving online, with a lot of trial and error and uncertainty to everyone.

Many other countries and municipalities likely to follow suit there will be a profound impact on families,
communities, and learning everywhere. And while interim distance and remote learning programs will
be put in place in many locations, the most marginalized, poverty-stricken, and vulnerable children will
be at the greatest disadvantage.

COVID-19 is, in fact, amplifying the struggles that children are already facing to receive a quality
education. Even before the outbreak of the virus, there 258 million out-of-school children across the
globe - principally due to poverty, poor governance, or living in or having fled an emergency or conflict.

The pandemic is a huge health challenge because of resource and capacity limitations.

As a response, the Philippine government has undertaken measures to curb the spread of the virus. This
includes travel restrictions, various levels of community quarantines and the T3 (test, trace and treat)
program. To fully implement these measures, President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law Republic Act.
No. 11469 or the Bayanihan We Heal as One Act on March 25, 2020. This act declares the pandemic as a
national emergency and authorises the president to exercise emergency power necessary to ensure
public health and safety.

THE IMPACT OF COVID 19 ON EDUCATION SYSTEMS

Good day to all respected teachers, parents and my dear friends. Here I am today to give a
speech about the Impact of Covid 19 on Education systems which all people present here must
know about it.

This year must be time of year again, graduation season right? Right now, our social media
feeds should be flooded with photos and post congratulating this year's high school seniors and
university graduates. However, ceremony invitations were'nt sent this year as the impact of
coronavirus has tossed out of the idea of a traditional graduation all together.

Due to the rapid spread of Covid 19 our habit and accustomed dissapeared in an instant. For
almost two pandemic months, most countries around the world have temporarily closed
educational institutions to contain the spread of covid 19-pandemic and reduce infections. This
closure affected more than 1.2 billion learners worldwide with more than 28 million learners in
the Philippines. Responses like community lockdown and community quarantine of several
countries have led students and teachers to study and work from home which led to the
delivery of online learning platforms. However the implementation of online learning posed
different risks, problems and challenges to both the teachers and students, especially in the
higher education institutions.
In the Philippines which is our country there are so many cases and still increasing with more
than four million cases worldwide. In response to these situations, educational leaders decided
to adopt the new normal in education. At basic education the Department of Education (DepEd)
will implementing the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) which will be in effect school year 2020-
2021 and classes open on August 24,2020 but due of so many cases in the Philippines our
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte did not allow it to open the classes but to continue the e-leaning
and other alternative modes. In heigher education sector, the Commission on Heigher
Education. HEIs where given academic freedom and should implement available learning, e-
learning and other alternatives mode of delivery to the students.

Subsequently, many teachers and students find it quite difficult to adjust to e-learning
especially those people who live in urban area and did not have accessible gadgets. Hence
education leaders try their best to provide quality inclusive and accessible education for
students. Because no one knows when it will end.

Education is the key to success. And today I am inviting for each of individual who are present
here to fight and overcome this new normal. Because if we are not then who? If not now,
when?

Thank you!
