ACTIVITY 3
1.In Hyperbolic Geometry, construct a Circle and 8 radii of the Circle.

2. The following is a list of theorems about Triangles in Euclidean Geometry. Which are true in
Hyperbolic Geometry? Construct the figures being described in Hyperbolic Canvas (Poincaré
Disk).
a. The adjacent angles formed by a pair of intersecting lines are supplementary and together
measure 180° (this was done in the example exercise).
IT IS ALSO TRUE IN HYPERBOLIC GEOMETRY.
b. Vertical angles are congruent.
IT IS ALSO TRUE IN HYPERBOLIC GEOMETRY.
c. In a triangle, the sum of any two sides is always greater than the length of the third side.
IT IS ALSO TRUE IN HYPERBOLIC GEOMETRY.

d. In a Triangle, if one of the sides is extended, the exterior angle is greater than either of the
opposite interior angles.
IT IS ALSO TRUE IN HYPERBOLIC GEOMETRY.
3. Differentiate Saccheri Quadrilateral from Lambert Quadrilateral. Draw an illustration.

SACCHERI QUADRILATERAL LAMBERT QUADRILATERAL

Saccheri quadrilateral has only 2 right angles. Lambert quadrilateral has 3 right angles.
