Instructions for downloading CREO and installing

Go to ptc.com

Pick eSupport

Fill in my email and password for ptc

Scroll down to download Software

Pick Order or download Software

Choose CREO PARAMETRIC
Expand and Pick Creo 7.0 for Windows Then Most recent date

Pick Install from-web

Bottom left will show download double click when finished.

Choose More info

Run

Then Pick Install new software

Choose I accept and check Export Agreement
Fill in the license file by typing in the lower license box NOT THE ONE AT
THE TOP.“mae-janus-1” first and then go back to the beginning of the
typing and add 7788@. The reason for this is some computers will look
for the license file the instant you type @

It will ask for my log in again so type in;

Window will show as follows for a few minutes.

Pick Creo parametric and simulation as shown

Pick Customize

Check off as shown

Install
Pick allow access when window comes up

Pick Finish

Delete all un-needed Icons from desktop.

Create a temp directory in your root drive (C drive)
Copy the “System color” file from the network drive “CREO files needed
for install” into the temp folder.

Open up the Text folder in the PTC directory as shown

Copy the config.pro file from the network drive “CREO files needed for
install” into this folder. The best way to do this is to copy the config.pro
to your desktop and drag it into the folder. (Some computer will not let
a direct copy into these folders.

Now right click on the CREO Parametric Icon and open the Properties.
Change the User\Public\Documents to temp as shown

Pick Apply
Accept then OK
You can right click on the Icon again if you want and change the name
of the Icon to CREO 7.0

Now open and check operation. You will need to “Allow access” a few
times then all should work.
