• geocentric theory: Is an theory that situates the earth like the center of our solar system.

• heliocentric theory: Is a astronomic model that reprecents that the sun is the center of our solar

• Galileo Galilei: Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer, philosopher, mathematician, and
physicist, closely associated with the Scientific Revolution.

• scientific method: The scientific method is a methodology to obtain new knowledge, which has
historically characterized science.

The heliocentric theory explains and demonstrates why the earth is not the center of our solar
system and the sun is, and the geocentric theory thinks why the center of the solar system is the
earth.

7: Why might institutions of authority tend to reject new ideas?

I think they can't stand being contradicted since they were the authority.
