RESEARCH TOPIC/TITLE: Function of Traffic Enforcers and their level of Traffic Management in the
Municipality of Digos City.

A. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

1. RATIONALE
The preeminent reason for administering this study is to have a grasp of information about the
function of Traffic Enforcers and their level of Traffic Management in the Municipality of Digos City.
Traffic accidents are a leading cause of death and injury all over the world. According to the World
Health Organization (WHO), road accidents kill 1.23 million people globally each year (World
Health Organization, 2015). In many ways, traffic officers are ultimately responsible for ensuring
that the roads remain open. Efficient traffic accident prevention used to be anticipated by, for
instance, proper understanding of traffic regulations among road users, adequate police monitoring,
sanctions, and justice in the sphere of road safety (Alonso, Esteban, Calatayud, Sanmartn, Alamar,
& Ballestar, 2015). Like any other countries, traffic enforcers in the Philippines’s job is to maintain
the safety of people who attend on the roads. Traffic enforcers are responsible for enforcing traffic
laws and regulations, as well as directing and controlling traffic. To make this possible, they have to
make sure all people follow the traffic law, spot the ones who violate the law, and then give them
the proper punishment (also follow the law). Besides the duties, they also have the responsibility of
the verdicts they give if they do not follow the traffic law or provide the wrong punishments.
