Introduction
The Weblink SW that is embedded in the CR /DR Console SW V5.x is responsible for
displaying the status of the Remote Management Services (RMS) connection. The
current Weblink release has shown to be configured with timeouts that are too tight,
therefore displaying false connectivity errors. This bulletin provides instructions to
recognize false errors and quickly configure RMS.
Before Enabling RMS: How to check if the CR / DR / Capture Link can reach the RMS
Servers

correctly. From the CR / DR / Capture Link, go to Service menu and unlock mode.
Launch Internet Explorer and try to reach the RMS servers typing the following address:

Then if you click "Yes", you will get the following screen:
IMPORTANT: The screen “you are not authorized to view this page” means that RMS
can be successfully enabled.
If no connection to the server is allowed, you will get the following message:

Modification Instructions, 7H2373, for the KODAK Remote Management Services, V2.x
After Step 29 (Remote Services Activation – starting the services), you will normally see
the following errors displayed:

Check again the status of the ALERTLINK agents after you have waited.
At step 36 (Select Group Name) you may see the following error:
This is again a false error in most cases. Contact the TSC to check if the RMS grouping
has been successful. For countries outside US, contact the T&IC in Genoa or Shanghai to
check if the RMS grouping has been successful.
