Week 1: High Five! Factors in Sound Decision-making

What I have Learned

In your HG notebook, answer the following:

1. Why should decision always have to be sound?
Decisions should always be sound to be able to thoroughly investigate the
possibilities and possible consequences, including debates and reflections from others and
that makes a better and deeper decisions. Making sound decisions is a necessary skill in life.
Good decision-making has an impact on the world around us, the world of the people
around us, and our own lives. The beliefs we hold impact the decisions we make, and the
actions we make shape the world we live in, from refusing to buy bottled water to standing
up for the truth or remaining silent. Every decision we make sets in motion a series of
events, or a domino effect. The more significant the decision, the more life-altering and far-
reaching the chain of events will be for the decision-maker and others around them. There
is always a consequence, whether the influence is positive or negative.
2. When do you know that you're doing a sound decision?
If I could fully examine the possibilities and varied options before making a decision, I'd
know I'm making a sound decision.
The signs that I’m doing a sound decisions are:

 You weighed all of your choices.

 You Pay Attention To Your Gut Feelings
 You have the ability to think positively.
 Your family and friends are rooting for you.
 You Considered the Long-Term Consequences
 You Have More Self-Assuredness
 You Spent a Significant Amount Of Time
 You make the decision to trust your gut instincts without reservation.
 Your Mind Is Quiet
 Things are starting to come together in a positive way

Week 5: Road to the Right Choice: Understanding Life Choices

What I have Learned
Answer the following questions in your HG notebook.
Base from what you have learned from this activity:
1. What factor mostly influenced you in your choices?
Four behavioral aspects influence the decisions we make during the decision-making
process. Our beliefs, personality, risk proclivity, and potential for decision dissonance are all
behavioral elements to consider. Skills, abilities and interest highly affects my choices. Other
factors also affect my choices and decisions in life.
2. What type of person you are based from your choices?
The type of person I am based from my choices is I am a rational person. A rational
person is one who is practical and capable of making decisions based on logic rather than
emotion. Before I decode, I am making sure that every choices that I will choose is right and
good not only for myself but for other people also. I choose not because I like it but because
I need it.
