AHA! Paper

The webinar flow is very smooth I’ve learned a lot from Mrs. Kamille she shared with us

her experiences and learnings about being an immigrant in Canada. The out of the comfort zone

webinar flow is before the webinar began, they gave the meaning of migration and globalization.

To open our minds about this topic. After that, all the students who are in the webinar gave

phrases or words about what we always remember or forever remarkable in our subject

contemporary world. After the roll call of phrases or words, they introduce Mrs. Kamille to us. I

was amazed at her even though she did not finish her studies here in the Philippines she has a lot

of achievements in her life like being CEO in K-Magnetic Lashes, H2O Awesome, and

KamzShopee and Logistic. She shared with us her experiences when she was young and what

she brought with her until she grew up and was brought to Canada. She apprised us about their

preparation for migration. There are too many requirements before they can migrate. Thereafter,

she informed us how she socialized of course before he came to Canada there were no

acquaintances or friends. Also, she tells us that they need to adapt the life in a foreign land like

always saying sorry and please. She notifies us how the government treats them like they will

lend them money to study. They also give grants to low-income people and also for the children.

The overall flow of the webinar is very exciting and we gain a lot of knowledge. The way she

talked about being an immigrant it seems like all the good things that Mrs. Kamille has

experienced; I also want to experience so that I can grow like her.

The discoveries I've gained about migration from the webinar is I used to think it would

be easy to migrate to another country. But I'm wrong there’s a lot of requirements you need to do

and also a big amount of money before you can go to another country. I also discovered that

Canada is the best country for the immigrants where Mrs. Kamille is now. Canada is excellent in

health care you don't need to pay, and you can apply for public health insurance. Peaceful,

Canada tends to focus its energy more on peacekeeping missions than on war.

When you migrate abroad you have a lot to change about yourself. The way you wear

clothes and the way you speak when you migrate it’s a new life to you. You need to be

familiarized with that country find your friends and get used to their food. It is also inevitable

that there will be racists in the country you went to because you are new. But the best thing about

migration is you can grow and learn new things. There’s a lot of opportunities that you can grab.

Moving somewhere for a better quality of life.

Migrants pay more in taxes and social security contributions than they receive in benefits.

Labor migrants have the greatest positive impact on the public purse. The employment of

migrants is the single most important factor in determining their net fiscal contribution. As a

result of migration, the working-age population grows. Migrants eventually cause social,

economic, and political problems in receiving countries, such as population growth, which has

negative consequences for existing social institutions; increased demand for goods and services;

and locals being displaced from rural and urban employment. The current globalization process

is centered on people's international migration. People migrate for a variety of reasons, including

bettering their economic prospects, living in a safer environment, reuniting with family, and

fleeing persecution in their home country or just like Mrs. Kamille to be reunited with his

husband in Canada and have a better quality of life.

The discoveries I’ve gained about Globalization from the webinar is Mrs. Kamille

applied globalization on her own because she built her own business in Canada. She starts

operating on an international scale. Her eyelashes business product moves easily across borders

Canada to the Philippines, and as well in other countries it is the process of expanding the

business all over the world. There is now a worldwide market for companies and consumers who

have access to products of different countries. She also has a Shopee account where people can

buy, and it will process by her people here in the Philippines, managing Employee Immigration.

Globalization of culture promotes the exchange of cultural values and the blending of traditions

from various countries. Cultural globalization, on the other hand, is defined by the convergence

of business and consumer cultures across countries and the expansion of international

communication. Interaction and integration of people, companies, and governments from various

countries, which are fueled by international trade and investment. The environment, culture,

political systems, and economic development are all affected by this process. Mrs. Kamille has

an interaction with Mrs. Neri Miranda they are talking about their Business that’s globalization.

After the webinar, I got a lot of take aways I’ve that I should not be scared to take the risk

because before Mrs. Kamille became successful, she experiences many trials. Even though she

didn't finish her studies here in the Philippines she continued it in Canada. Because of her, I

learned not to give. Even if you prove something in your life you still need to keep going and

don't stop. Continue to learn, gain knowledge, experience, and knowledge from others and

inspire the people around you. We must be successful in life. When we migrate to a country

there's a lot. of test to pass. Nothing is easy in life everything is difficult. All you must do is
5

cheer yourself up. We should be thirsty for knowledge, learn absolutely everything, speak dozens

of languages and be fluent. Travel and meet all cultures to learn something new.

Nothing much has changed in my perspective of the Contemporary world. Maybe for me

all I can say is that the contemporary world is not full of conflict. We are currently living in one

of the most peaceful eras in the history of the planet. Its series of discoveries has helped me

understand the nature of the world and has improved for the betterment of society. Societies face,

develop competencies and construct knowledge. Contemporary World is about trade, production,

distribution and consumption. As I have already discovered, globalization refers to the increasing

pace and scope of interconnections crisscrossing the globe. Socially we have become more open

and tolerant towards each other. Because of Cotemporary World we can now achieve the

potential by encouraging us to take part in social deliberation, and gives us an opportunity to take

positions on global issues while respecting the opinions of others.
