Activity No. 2. Let’s Do This
Make a status report of the current economic condition of our country, the Philippines as
the COVID-19 pandemic hits the world. Write your report in a whole sheet of bond
paper.
The tourism industry has ground to a stop all across the world as a result of travel being
a key contributor to the virus's spread. The Philippines is heavily reliant on tourism for
revenue production, with an estimated loss of 0.68 percent of GDP due to tourism in the
worst-case scenario. International trade was also badly impacted, resulting in a spillover
effect from Chinese supply interruptions to the Philippines. As a result, the
communication equipment business was predicted to lose 115 million dollars due to
supply disruption.
The Philippines' economy experienced a major downturn in 2020 as a result of the
COVID-19 virus, with GDP falling 9.6% year on year. Since 1946, when the National
Accounts data series for the Philippines began, this was the greatest annual dropped
ever recorded.
In calendar 2020, final consumption spending dropped 7.9% y/y, while gross capital
creation fell 34.4 percent y/y. The transport and storage industry saw a 30.9 percent
year-on-year drop in output in 2020, while the hotel and food services sector saw a 45.4
percent drop.
Despite the fact that economic activity increased in the second half of 2020, with
positive quarter-on-quarter GDP growth in the fourth quarter of that year, the growing
pandemic in March and April 2021 has hampered near-term recovery prospects.

Activity No. 5. Let’s Think Globally
Research one (1) event in the global community that depicts the participation of the
Philippines. Give at least 2 paragraphs narrative report
The Philippines joins the global community in protecting Sexual and
Reproductive Health and Rights, and in promoting Gender-Responsiveness
during the COVID-19 crisis

The humanitarian crisis caused by the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic has
not only harmed Filipinos' health, but has also prompted warnings of violence against
women and children, as well as many other defenseless members of society.

Given this, the Philippines, along with other countries, is actively initiating interventions
to protect and promote the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls
in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. For its part, the Commission on Population and
Development (POPCOM) has joined hands with other national government agencies
such as the Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government,
Philippine Commission on Women as well as the Department of Social Welfare and
Development, among others, in pushing for the welfare of Filipino women by calling all
duty bearers to institute mechanisms to prevent gender-based violence during the
health crisis.

Moreover, current efforts to address the reproductive health needs of women and girls
are being pursued by POPCOM.  Some of these strategies include the continuing
provision of family planning services by village (barangay) health workers, the provision
of helplines to provide information as well as referral services on family planning,
prevention of adolescent pregnancy and gender-based violence.  POPCOM, through its
Family Wellness Clinic, supports the local government units in the provision of FP
services.

POPCOM thus supports the joint statement by ministers and leaders around the world
calling for unified support and collective action in protecting sexual and reproductive
health and rights.  The statement also calls for the promotion of gender-responsiveness
of various interventions in addressing the COVID-19 crisis.

regionalization by increasing their economic growth and living standards in line with it.
They may become trade partners, cultural exporters, and so on with both.
III. ESSAY
Write an easy consisting of 150-300 words in a submission on specified date. The titles
is “I am for (Localization, Regionalization, Globalization-select ) in this contemporary
World”
I am for Globalization because of the fact that the position of Asia in the global economy
has changed dramatically as a result of globalization. Asia's developing countries
contributed for only one-sixth of global output a decade ago. Companies can find lower-
cost ways to create their goods as a result of globalization. It also enhances global
competition, which lowers prices and gives consumers a wider range of options. People
in both emerging and developed countries benefit from lower prices since they may live
more comfortably on less money.

Jollibee concentrates on offering products that satisfy the Filipino taste: spicy burgers,

chicken, the spaghetti, and the burger. Once it has established itself in that country, it
diversifies its menu to include local products custom-made for the particular country.

Jollibee Food Corporation's marketing strategy uses media for their advertising, and it is
appealing and commercialized, using a variety of media such as television, radio,

Activity No. 10. Let’s Do These

What Religion are you in?
Answer the following questions comprehensively:
1. What is your religion? Christian (Roman Catholic)
As a branch of Christianity, Roman Catholicism can be traced to the life and teachings
of Jesus Christ in Roman-occupied Jewish Palestine about 30 CE. According to Roman
Catholic teaching, each of the sacraments was instituted by Christ himself.
2. Describe the following:
a. Your religion’s concept of good
Our religion’s concept of good is that through trust in what God has done, the person is
made right with God, not through any sort of good actions. The matter is to love God
and others, and love would reflected in devotion to and proper relationship with God.
And also, by following Him by believing in Jesus, trusting in His holy mission of
forgiveness, and following Him.
b. Your religion’s concept of evil
Anything that isn't part of God's original act of creation is considered evil. To put it
another way, God does not create evil, therefore everything that is not created by God
is evil. When Satan rebelled against God, one act that demonstrated his disobedience
was when Satan tricked Eve and Adam. Since then, it has been assumed that evil
creates sin, which is the result of people's free will, which God has given them. Sin is
the source of human-caused pain, which results in wars, violence, poverty, hatred, and
wrath, among other things. Some of the hardships are viewed as a direct result of a
person's actions, while others feel they are divine punishment.
c. The steps needed by a person to become good and prevent himself/herself from
becoming evil.
First, is that the Ten Commandments must be followed by all Catholics. Strive to be
good and stay away from evil. Even if you know it will be difficult, seek out and walk
down the correct path.
Second, is to follow and apply God's way and plan as shown in the Bible, which
admonishes us to not only do good but also to move away from evil and to correct what
is right from wrong.
Third, is to pray beyond just utterance and keep the end result you desire in mind. As
you will be prepared to accept graciously what you have worked or prayed for.
And lastly, know how to apply God's words because with the application of the
command in your life, you will understand more, spiritually.
3. Conduct a research on your religion’s relationship with politics, if any. In what ways is
it engaged in politics? Why do its leaders decide to be involved in politics?
Even though Christians are actively involved in politics all over the world and they
consider it as a religious duty, the Catholic Church does not belong to any specific
political party. The key role the church plays/can play in politics is through its prophetic
ministry. “Prophetic” here means speaking into policy, structure, or issues in the name
of God and Christ, or on behalf of humanity in general or of a community in particular.

4. How do you describe the reaction(s) of the movements of your religion to

globalization?
The Catholic Church looks favorably on the interconnectedness of nations and peoples.
Globalization represents an opportunity to combat global poverty, foster peace and
promote human rights. Christians were given the first global command—to evangelize.
This command was one in which the relationship between God and man is harmonious.
Globalization was God's idea, not man's. It was and is necessary to circumvent the
cultural division and language confusion that occurred in Babylon.

5. How do you describe the reactions of some religious movements to globalization?

How do others facilitate globalization?
People of faith are seeking spiritual guidance on topics such as prosperity, justice, and
international crisis as the trend of globalization increases. Globalization, on the other
hand, presents a wonderful opportunity for many religious leaders to evangelize and
engage in interfaith discourse.

DIRECTIONS: Explain comprehensively. Write your answers on a separate sheet of
bond paper and submit it through Google Classroom or drop it in the office.
1. What are the characteristics of a global city and how would you contribute in order to
be part of globalizations?

 Influential in international political affairs
 Home to world-renowned cultural institutions
 Service a major media hub
 Large mass transit networks
 Home to a large international airport
 Having a prominent skyline

And also I will try their products. I will also buy products that imported from other
countries. Because Globalization is important because the way governments,
businesses, and individuals interact is changing as a result of globalization. It alters the
structure of international economic activity by expanding commerce, establishing global
supply chains, and facilitating access to natural resources and labor markets.

Activity No. 12. Let’s Think

DIRECTIONS: Explain comprehensively. Write your answers on a separate sheet of
bond paper and submit it through Google Classroom or drop it in the office.
1. Assuming that you have built your own family with a children of five. Cite the ways
you might affect the global population. What are your remedies to lessen the global
problems?
The ways I might affect the global population are consumption of resources such as
food, water, air, fossil fuels and minerals. Waste products as a result of consumption
such as air and water pollutants. So the remedies I might consider to do to lessen the
global problems are; reducing electricity costs - modern person cannot imagine living
without electricity, which is why I will reduce my use of electricity because atomic, oil,
and gas power plants have a negative impact on the environment, and electricity bills
continue to rise. I will also teach my family to conserve water, because water
conservation is vital because it ensures that water remains pure and clean while also
safeguarding the environment. Conserving water entails being careful with our water
supply and using it properly. Because everyone relies on water for survival, we must
learn how to preserve our limited supply of water clean and free of contamination. And
lastly I will teach my kids to segregate trashes from biodegradable to non-biodegradable
because waste segregation is essential for proper disposal of the massive amounts of
garbage that modern society generates in an environmentally aware manner. Distinct
waste components have highly different qualities, therefore classifying them by kind
enables for optimal processing and storage.

Instructions: In a short essay, discuss your personal definition of global citizenship and
how you, as a Filipino, can become an active member of the global village. What are the
advantages of global citizenship for a Filipino and for the entire country?

Global citizenship entails an understanding of the interconnections that exist between

people, communities, and environments all around the world. It emphasizes the
importance of obligations and contributions to a global economy and society. A global
citizen is somebody who is conscious of and knows their place in the larger world. They
participate actively in their communities and collaborate with others to create our world
a more peaceful, sustainable, and equitable place. As a Filipino to become an active
member of the global village is to connect myself. So, the first thing I must do is engage
in a global conversation. Like attending seminars that involve meeting with different
races. The advantages of global citizenship for a Filipino and for the country, it include
the ability to resolve issues in a variety of ways. Filipinos may understand empathy,
especially empathy for others who are different. Being a global citizen is a large and
vital function that one should play in a global village. And also as a global citizen, I will
