Hydro Energia capabilities are based on a consolidated
references and full knowledge of the main European Multi-
Utilities such as ENEL, E.On, Edison, A2A providing a wide
range of tailor made solutions for new HPP and revamping of
the existing one.
The development of a large proposal activity, followed by the
availability of a consistent amount of reliable and structured
data from as-built, related to small hydro installations strictly
homogeneous by scope of supply, technical solutions and type
of components, developed in short time span and in an
European environment, and with privileged access to figures
released by the plant owners regarding the overall cost of
their investments, together with some years of historical data
of observed energy yield, allowed Hydro Energia to compose a
quasi-statistical analysis of critical parameters, such as specific
costs of different type of technological equipment against
weight, installed power or energy yield, that are now
successfully applicable as a benchmark for “lightning quick”
evaluation of new projects, or for design change comparison
during manufacturing stage. 6

Such premises gave to Hydro Energia peculiar opportunities,
strongly triggered by the need of matching the competition with an
energy price level far lower than the Italian (domestic) market:
– the development of high quality and cost-effective technology,
highly specialized for the local environment and the peculiarity
of design of the HPPs;
– a step-up in the automation, protection, SCADA and remote
control systems requirements, for helping both ordinary
operation and remote assistance and diagnostics in care of the
company specialists while assuring the highest safety in
automated operation;
– the development of a design concept based upon tailor-made
application standardized engineering solutions and components,
in order to allowed an easier process of maintenance and spare
parts replenishment both in ordinary operation and emergency);
– the development of a structured Contract frames.
