Dear Colleagues,

As every company and person affected economically with COVID pandemic impacts and ensure the
continuity of our business with regards of governmental quarantine requirements everywhere and
travel restrictions at most of the countries and all clients demand to decrease the Barge/vessel daily
rate which already reduced 25%, the company has hardly decided below points to be implemented
effective from 1st January 2021 onward.

A. A COVID 19 test with a negative result is a must prior to your flight schedule at least 72 hrs. if
the result is positive (God forbid), you should immediately inform the ZMI Crewing accordingly
and your traveling will be canceled until two consecutive negative reports are submitted and
COVID test from home country is under CREW expense.

B. If its transit flight, you are required to avoid contacting or communicate with others during the
transit period to avoid any possibility of infection and please be informed that if the waiting
period is more than 6 hrs. all the expense incurred (like hotel and food) will be reimbursed by
ZMI upon submitting the valid supporting doc and invoices.

C. Upon arriving in UAE, Saudi & Qatar you will do the swab test at the airport and the result is
issued within 48hrs and your accommodation will be arranged by ZMI in Guesthouse or Hotel.

D. Before traveling, ensure all your certificates and documents are valid for at least 4 months (for
Senior Crew), 8 months (for ratings), Passport and Seaman’s book must be valid for at least 8
months for visa renewal/application purpose.

E. As per UAE, KSA and Qatar government and client measures during the current Pandemic,
crew joining offshore will need to do 14 days’ (UNPAID) quarantine and upon completion of
14 days you need to undergo the swab test on day 15th day and following 16th day result will be
issued, if the report is negative, your day rate will start from the report issuance date and if the
report is positive your day rate will only start after receiving two consecutive negative report
(travelling date is unpaid).
 
F. For the upcoming crew and re-joiners, the rotation will be amended for all ranks as per below:
 
1- Senior crew 90 days on / off (14 quarantine once arrived before joining the assigned
vessel/barge included in the 90 days off), 90 days’ rotation will only start once you are on
board.
2- Ratings crew 150 days on / 60 days off (14 quarantine once arrived before joining the
assigned vessel/barge included in the 60 days off), 150 days will only start once you are on
board.

G. Once the restrictions lifted by client and government in clause F, we will be back to a normal
regular rotation plan.

We appreciate your usual support and cooperation during this difficult and un-expected
pandemic to ensure business continuity and keep ZMI flag in highest level.
