Prelliminary Activity

MS Publisher application is usually used for desktop publishing. This app allows you
manipulate different features such as page size, text, graphics, and borders.Text and images to
make professional looking flyers, brochures, handouts, and newsletters.

Indesign is an app that is created by Adobe Systems, it has the same function with MS
Publisher in making brochures, flyers, handouts, newsletters. But Adobe Indesign is much more
advance than MS Publisher app.

MS Paint application is used for creative activities such as drawing, colouring, including editing
pictures and importing pictures.
Photoshop is also an application created by Adobe Systems, Adobe Photoshop is best app for
photo manipulation for it has advance editing tools to make creative photos, this app is usually
used by professionals.

Canva is a web-based graphic-design tool offering a drag-and-drop interface that provides

access to hundreds of design layouts for creating presentations, social media graphics, posters,
flyers, invitations and more. The tool can be used by both beginners or non-designers and
professionals to create custom web and print media.

Activity 1: Concept Recall

For me, Layout is the arrangement of predetermined items like images, texts, style on a page.
Layout is the institute of an overall appearance and relationships between the graphic elements
to accomplish a smooth flow of message and eye movement for the effectiveness or impact.
Layout is important in graphic designs that it has to meet the requirements about proportion,
sequence, emphasis, consistency of elements. The success of a graphic design depends on the
arrangement of each portion in the correct position and sequence through their relationship
with each other.
